YaYA Boulder Invitational ProgramA gathering of young Urantia Book readers

Friday, June 3rd-Monday, June 6th 2011University Memorial Center (UMC)

University of Colorado, Boulder

This Invitational is the very first of its kind! Hosted by the Youth and Young Adult Committee of the Urantia Book Fellowship, we invite young people from around the world to join us in Boulder for a fun and inspiring weekend of conversations about our role as the rising generation of Urantia Book readers.

The Boulder Invitational is intended to give young readers an opportunity to get to know each other through thought-provoking programs and social experiences in one of the most beautiful settings on earth: Boulder, Colorado. We will discuss everything from reaching our personal potential to conducting campus outreach to supporting each other in our small but vital community. Participants will also have a chance to help shape the weekend through their own ideas and contributions. The basic schedule of events is below, and you will receive more information when you register.

We are breaking new ground and hope you will join us in building the future of the Fifth Epochal Revelation. Our goal during this weekend is to produce major lasting results for future generations to build upon, and your participation will help guide that vision. We also strive to better represent and foster young Urantia Book readers, and what better way than to spend time together in a stunning space, growing in friendship and spirit. We’ll see you there!

2:45 pm In small groups, we will brainstorm goals in each category for the next 6 weeks (by IC’11), 6 months (by New Years), and 1 year (by June 4, 2012). We will then share and discuss these goals as a whole group.

4:15 pm We will prioritize the goals we set as a group, choosing the top few to focus on in the next 6 weeks, 6 moths, and 1 year. We can also keep a list of our far-flung goals so we know what we’re dreaming!

Questions to keep in mind during this exercise:

As a group of young UB readers how can we be of more service to our Urantia community and the world?

How can we grow as a group?

How can we empower individuals in this group to be proactive and engaged in loving service? How can we make the study and use of the Urantia Book more relevant to every day life?
