My View of the MarketCurrent Trends in the Market:Although inventory increased during the first half of the year we have begun to see a normal decrease of inventory since July. It will be interesting to see if this decrease continues through the Winter following the same trend we have seen consistently over the past couple years. With year-to-date sales down 6% from 2016 and 16% from 2015 as well as an increased number of price reductions and a longer time on market we have seen a shift to more of a neutral market from the strong sellers market that Boulder County has experienced in recent years. With sales down, signifying a decrease in demand, and homes staying on the market for longer, signifying an increased supply, we have seen price appreciation begin to slow.
