    Preface

This piece of writing is a guide which consists of generic scienti c questions forscienti c thinkers. These generic questions are based on the properties which allow usto study anything systematically. The questions which are systematically designed canguide students to study anything systematically. For teachers, this provides a SimpleUni ed Instructional System (SUIS) to guide students to study anything systematically. For students, this is a scienti c thinking supplement to any textbook for any sciencecourse. Teachers can use this to design science instruction, assignments, and tests.Students can use this to improve their perspective in any domain of science.

Systematic generic scienti c thinking skills apply to all sciences. For example, scienti c thinkers are clear as to the purpose at hand and the question at issue. They question information, conclusions, and points of view. They strive to be accurate, precise, and relevant. They seek to think beneath the surface, to be logical, andobjective. They apply these skills to their reading and writing as well as to theirspeaking and listening. They apply them in professional and personal life.

When this guide is used as a supplement to the science textbook in multiplecourses, students begin to perceive the application of scienti c thinking to many domains in everyday life. And if their instructors provide examples of the applicationof scienti c thinking to daily life, students begin to see scienti c thinking as a tool forimproving the quality of their lives.

If you are a student using this guide, get in the habit of carrying it with you toevery science class. Consult it frequently in analyzing and synthesizing what you arelearning. Aim for deep internalization of the principles you nd in this - until usingthem becomes second nature.

If successful, this guide will serve faculty, students, and the science programsimultaneously. This work is based on the Simple Uni ed Instructional Systemdeveloped by Intellectual Development Foundation. This piece of writing is notorganized into chapters. Every page illustrates how di erent things can questionedexhaustively with systematic generic scienti c questions.

Excellence in scienti c thinking must be cultivated systematically.

What properties of tree allow us to study it systematically?

Listed below are the properties of tree which allow us to study it systematically .

    1. Divisibility

Can tree exhibit divisibility? Yes. Tree has divisibility and it can bedivided into things called the parts of tree.

What are the parts of tree?

    2. Comparability

Can tree exhibit comparability? Yes. Tree has comparability and itcan be compared to all the other things. Anything which cannotbe compared to tree is neither di erent nor similar to tree.

What is that which is neither di erent nor similar to tree?

    3. Connectivity

Can tree exhibit connectivity? Yes. Tree has connectivity and it canbe connected to all the other things which hold it.

What is that which cannot connect to tree?

    4. Disturbability

Can tree exhibit disturbability? Yes. Tree has disturbability and it can be disturbed (a ected) by thethings which can in uence it.

What is that which cannot a ect tree?

    5. Reorderability

Can tree exhibit reorderability? Yes. Tree has reorderability and it can be reordered from one fromto its other forms.

What are the forms of tree?

    6. Substitutability Can tree exhibit substitutability? Yes. Tree has substitutability and it can be substituted by thethings which qualify to substitute it.

    What can substitute for tree?

    7. Satis ability

Can tree exhibit satis ability? Yes. Tree has satis ability and it can satisfy those which require it.

What is in need of tree?

What will you do if no thing has divisibility, comparability,

connectivity, disturbability, reorderability, substitutability, and satis ability?

Hai! You know well about tree, butdo you have the knowledge to an-swer the questions about tree?
