Many people from England came to live in America in the 1700s.

King George III was the ruthless king of England (Great Britain)from 1760-1820

King George made the Americans pay taxes because he ruled over the American colonies.

King George sent three ships with boxes of tea to Boston, Massachusetts which is near the Atlantic Ocean.

The Americans did not want to pay any more taxes, especially for tea, to Britain!

The Americans threw the boxes of tea into the Atlantic Ocean.

King George punished the people of Boston.
