• The success of Boston Road Pediatrics, (Bronx Pediatrics 2000) has fostered the development of the Boston Road Medical Center that will open January 2010.

• Two pediatricians serve about 100 patients a day or 30,000 visits a year.

• Two additional doctors will be incorporated to enhance service capacity. It is expected to handle 50,000 visits in 2010.

- The Boston Road Medical Center represents an ambitious primary care project being developed on a new 16,500 sf modern facility in the Bronx.- The Parents of pediatrics patients’ demands for Adult Medicine services have promoted the integration on an Internal Medicine practice.- The Pediatrics and Internal Medicine practices will adopt the Patient Centered Medical Home concept; The NCQA credentialing process was already started.

Internal Medicine

• The Boston Road Medical Center’s internal medicine service will begin operations with energetic young sJanuary 2010.

• Another Family Medicine physician and a Nurse Practitioner will be incorporated to the practice in June 2010 to enhance quality and access to service.

• Specialty services in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Gynecology, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, and Ophthalmology will also be available onsite.
