Véronique Lachance PCSS Drama Room

Drama, Expression & Creativity

I like to connect people from various backgrounds through theatre. My exercises help to shape the body, the speech and develop a natural ease of expression. I work a lot on an immersive way to develop a sensitivity of the body in the space. I also like working in

unusual places (outside a stage) to play. My main goal is to bring people together and create with them a unique and playful moment, where everyone has been involved in a creation.

Brain Development and Building Core Strengths What is the NMT model? The Neuro-sequential Model is a developmentally-informed, biologically-respectful approach to working with at-risk children.

The Neuro-sequential Model is not a specific therapeutic technique or intervention; it is a way to organize a child’s history and current functioning. The goal of this approach is to structure the assessment of a child, the articulation of the primary problems, identification of key strengths and the application of interventions (educational, enrichment and therapeutic) in a way that will help family, educators, therapists and related professionals best meet the needs of the child.

-Why is this important

-Brain organization and memory

-Core principles of brain development

-Creation of relational templates

-Caregiving for the child’s brain and the development of core strengths (Attachment, Regulation, Affiliation, Awareness of Others, Tolerance and Respect).

in teachers within the K-12 system with wide ranging causes and impacts. This conference workshop is designed to inform teachers about these work-related risks that can result from the very nature of the work itself and to offer practical evidence-based strategies for reducing risk and enhancing resiliency in order to thrive and be/do well both personally and professionally. This highly interactive session will use group discussion, self-assessment, storytelling, videos, and reflective learning tools to ensure participants gain new awareness as well as options for positive resiliency actions beyond the workshop.
