PROTECTIONTraditionally worn as a Charm, this

Symbol is given by the Mai to those they wish to protect.

DECEPTIONThere will always be those who will attempt

to deceive the Mai and their friends. If you see this Symbol, heed the warning.

UNITERThe Mai have been waiting for a supreme

warrior and protector called The Uniter for many years. It is written in the Nine Paths Prophecy that The Uniter will be found by a Circle of Strangers. This Symbol is used

for and by The Uniter.

TRUST Although known for their cautious nature,

the Mai have an innate sense about who can be trusted and use this Symbol as a

universal stamp of approval.

BADAncient Mai believed a "raining sky" was a

signal from the Goddess Bastet that someone or something was "bad". This

image has evolved over the years to become the Mai symbol to indicate a "Bad Mai".

GOODAncient Mai believed a "sunny sky" was a

signal from the Goddess Bastet that someone or something was "good". This

image has evolved over the years to become the Mai symbol to indicate a "Good Mai".

DANGERAs protectors and warriors, the Mai have acquired a few enemies. Some enemies are extremely dangerous to the Mai and this Danger Symbol is used to flag the

most deadly.

MAIThe Mai are the result of the union between the Goddess Bastet and a unknown Human. This cat-like eye image that symbolizes the Mai has been found on stone tablets that

date back as far as 2890 BC.

GIRLIt is a tradition among the Mai parents to give a silver "Girl" Charm necklace to Mai

daughters on their 16th birthday.

BOYIt is a tradition among the Mai parents to give a silver "Boy" Charm necklace to Mai

sons on their 16th birthday.

FRIEND The "Friend" Symbol, also referred to as

"linked arms", is commonly seen as a Henna Tattoo on the forearms of Mai

youth along with the name of aboyfriend or girlfriend.

FOEThe five slash marks are used for a single enemy or "foe". Most often used to point

to Hunters.

HOMEOften forced to stay on the move and below the radar of Hunters, the Mai

consider "Home" to be a very special place. This Symbol is sometimes used by the Mai

to indicate a safe house or refuge.

BRAVE Often called the "Warrior Spear" by the

Mai, this Symbol is presented to the most courageous of the Mai.

FATHERThis Symbol is used not only for birth

fathers, but for any male Mai or Human that nurtures and cares for a Mai youth.

MOTHERThis Symbol is used not only for birth

mothers, but for any female Mai or Human that nurtures and cares for a Mai youth.

BASTETFirst found in the Pyramids of Pharaohs, this image celebrates the Goddess Bastet.

It is a perfect combination of the Protection and Mai Symbols.

LOVEThe linked flower petal image was first found on a cave wall near the Red Sea.

The story, etched into the stone wall, tells the sad tale of a Mai Boy who was put to

death for falling in love with the beautiful daughter of a Pharaoh.
