How many people have wanted to learn Spanish in a country that also has nature and many tourists attractions? Forty Percent of wildlife is contained in Bolivia and has many large lakes and animals. Bolivia should definitely be at the top of the Global Awareness list. Three amazing reasons to include are the way Mario Rodas the famous inventor pursued his dream, the landmark of Salar de Uyuni salt flat, and the historical event of getting freedom.

The first fact is that Bolivia is a great country is that they have a famous inventor named Mario Rodas. Mario Rodas manufactured successful bread machines. Marion Rodas had 2 sons that supported him named Marcelo and Daniel that helped work in their workshop Guarani.[footnoteRef:1] From a young age, Mario learned trades, carpentry, and mechanics. Mario knew that bread machines were profitable and made his first rubbing machine in 1989, same year it was patented.[footnoteRef:2] Mario later made them bigger. Those who buy me a machine, have guaranteed the maintenance and repair, I have a list of loyal customer[footnoteRef:3] To sum it up, Mr. Rodas was a very important person, not only to Bolivia but also to the world. This is a good reason that Bolivia is a top country. [1: (A Bolivian inventor, Mario Rodas patented machines to make bread)] [2: Ibid.] [3: Ibid.]

Another fact for Bolivia being the best is the very rare landform that is a salt flat called Salar de Uyuni. Salar de Uyuni is 12,000sq km in area, 3,700 meters above sea level, the biggest salt flat in the world, consists 10 billion tons of salt, and was part of the prehistoric Lake Minchin.[footnoteRef:4] Two lakes still remain the Uru Uru and (no sniggering at the back) the Poop.[footnoteRef:5] This salt flat is located in Potosi and Oruro in southwest Bolivia where it used to be part of Lake Minchin. Since there are mountains all around Salar de Uyuni, there is no drainage site for the rain to drain. However, since the salt is in mounds it allows the occasional rain to evaporate easier. 25 thousand tons of the salt is taken by llamas to export.[footnoteRef:6] Nevertheless, llamas do not only transport but they and flamingos thrive in this area. In conclusion, a lot of salt comes from Salar de Uyuni. Not only is a landform but also an export. [4: (Salar de Uyuni - A Spectacular Sea of Salt, 2014)] [5: Ibid.] [6: Ibid.]

The last amazing fact that Bolivia is the top country is the way they showed grit by pursuing their dream of having independence. In the 18th century, Bolivia was actually called Upper Peru because they were under Spanish rule for over 15 years then they finally achieved independence from the Spanish.[footnoteRef:7] The Spanish rulers were very ignorant and always considered themselves superior. It was not uncommon for these Oidores to make the people bow to them.[footnoteRef:8] Through this journey, there were countless number of deaths and wounds. However, Simon Bolivar, a military and political leader helped them pursue and not give up even though he helped with other countries in South America. Finally, the fact that Bolivia pursued there dream and had grit makes a big difference. [7: (Bolivia's Independence)] [8: Ibid.]

Although Bolivia may seem boring, but it actually is a tough country. Bolivia is a great country to have at the top of a Global Awareness list. Bolivias salt does not take up any electricity to transport because of the llamas. Mario Rodas definitely helped the world with his inventions of bread machines. Finally, Bolivia should be on the top of the Global Awareness list because even when they were not free they pursued and achieved their goal. Bolivia isnt a boring country but a strong independent helping country.
