Spring Concert cont.. Parking- The concert will begin at 6pm sharp, so it would be appreciated if children could begin arriving from 5:30pm. Despite parking being available in the vacant block adjacent to the hall and along the street, we anticipate that parking spots may become limited. We understand that this isn’t a feasible option for all, however, where possible, we recommend car-pooling with others. It is recommended that if you have a torch please bring it along to help make the trip back to your car easier.

Rehearsal- On the day prior to the concert, Monday the 9th of September, students will participate in a local excursion to the Newry Hall for a rehearsal.

Finally, as a courtesy, it would be appreciated if you could contact Claire Martin or your child’s classroom teacher if you child is unable to attend on the night

Kind Regards,

Daniel Clark

Funding application feedback sought We recently received correspondence from Darren Chester regarding applications for community funding. Boisdale will be putting in an application for some of the funding and we want to get input from the community as to what they think would be more beneficial for the students and the school. Funds can go towards a range of things including the playground, sporting equipment, landscaping, furniture, ICT etc. If you have any ideas as to what you would like the funds to go towards please email me directly [email protected] or fill out the form at the office by Friday 20th September. We will if our application ahs been successful until early December. Thank you for your suggestions. Mel Glover

Health and Physical Education (PE) update For the rest of term 3 in PE, all classes will be focusing on "Striking/hitting a ball" games. We will learn about and practice 1 handed forehand striking (for example table tennis) and 2 handed striking (for example baseball). You could assist your child with these skills at home and remind them to; 1. Keep their eye on the ball. 2. Stand side on to the target 3. Step towards the target with the foot opposite to the striking hand (example: if you hit with right hand, step forward with left foot).
