Learn More About Zone Valve Controllers

11 – Zone Valve Controller

Zone valve controllers help organize wiring and reduce problems caused by incorrect wiring associated with conventional zone valve installations.

Learn More About Circulator Flanges

12 – Circulator Flanges

For proper installation of flanged circulator pumps, flanges are necessary to connect to the water line.

Learn More About Ball Valves

14 – Ball Valve

Ball valves are usually used as a shutoff device in heating and plumbing systems for gas, oil, or water. There are a variety of ball valves available including:

• PEX• ProPEX• SharkBite• Propress

Learn More About Boiler Drains

15 – Boiler Drain

There are two types of boiler drains:• Male (MIP)• Female (FIP)

They are identified by the IPS threats on the inlet side. Boiler drains are designed to drain the water from a boiler and are useful for clearing away any accumulated sediment in the boiler.

Boiler drains are typically used in laundry tubs and washing machines.

Learn More About Temperature Gauges

16 – Temperature Gauge

Pressure gauges and temperature gauges measure the pressure or temperature, respectively, of a liquid or gas in a system.

Brass and stainless steel are commonly used to construct these gauges.

Some temperature gauges have special features for easy readability, such as digital reads or illuminated dials.

Learn More About Fill Valves

17 – Fill Valve

Fill valves are used to adjust the fill rate of boilers by controlling boiler water feed pressure. When used properly, fill valves help prevent heating systems from over pressurization.

Learn More About Backflow Preventers

18 – Backflow Preventer

Backflow preventers are important to the system because they prevent potential hazards from harming the potable water system. They stop fluids from the heating system from flowing backwards into the domestic water supply.

Each year there are over 10,000 reported cases of backflow contamination. Contaminations can be prevented by having the right backflow preventer in place.

Learn More About Boiler Reset Controls

19 – Boiler Reset Control

Boiler reset controls are used to help regulate the temperature of the supply water.

Learn More About Check Valves

20 – Check Valve

Check valves, also known as swing checks, help guide the water flowing through your system in the preferred direction. Contaminated water is not allowed to flow back into the system. In systems that are zoned by a circulator, check valves also stop water from flowing to zones that are not calling for heat
