School Improvement Questionnaire Thank you to the parents who have completed the school improvement questionnaire. The school values our community’s feedback and are currently collating the data to put our next steps into improving in place. Bubblers - Drink Bottles Schools continue to be safe and operations are in line with AHPPC and NSW Health guideline. It is recommended that students bring their water bottles to school and not drink out of the bubblers. Water bottles may be filled up at the bubblers if needed. Plastic cups can be made available on request. Father’s Day Stall - Week 7

The Father’s Day Stall will be held on Thursday 3rd September (Week 7). Students will be able to create their own gift pack. $5.00 pack - 2 items hand chosen by the student $10.00 pack - 3 items hand chosen by the student A variety of items will be available for the students to choose from, they will be given a father’s day card and a gift bag to put their presents in. Students can purchase multiple packs if they wish. Parents are able to start sending in their child’s money if they wish to the office (including Smarties students). The theme is Disney! The students have begun practicing their routines ready for the end of Term. See our poster attached to the newsletter. Beautification of the School The school staff are in the midst of beautifying our little school. Our first project was to brighten the front office entry way, it looks lovely! Please keep an eye out for the upcoming projects, if any parents have any suggestions please contact the office. We are very excited to create a welcoming space and inspirational school environment for our students.

Issue 14 Term 3 – Week 5

Attendance and Sickness It is important to notify the school if your child is absent from school. The school sends absence notifications via text message daily. If your child has any cold or flu symptoms including runny or blocked nose, cough, fever, etc please keep them at home until symptoms subside. If your child sees a doctor and/or receives a COVID-19 test please provide relevant paperwork to the office. Guidelines/restrictions The school will continue with its increased hygiene practices again this term, it is vital that students and their families follow the guidelines from the Department of Education. The following restrictions are still in place: • P&C meetings are suggested to be held

in an online capacity. • Large events and sporting competitions

are not allowed. • School assemblies are still to be

conducted in an online capacity. • Limited parent contact on school

grounds. Parents are asked to please limit the amount of time they spend on the school grounds, if a phone call can be made that would be the preferred option. Parents are not permitted to be in the playground/classrooms, they must only report to the office. Please remember that only 2 parents can be at the office at any one time, one at each window. Parents are also reminded not to congregate in large groups at the front gate.

Visitors that report to the office are to sign a “visitor acknowledgement form” this includes for arranged meetings and canteen. Uniform Students are expected to be in full winter uniform for Terms 2 & 3, this means boys are to wear long pants not shorts. The uniform schedule is as follows:

Monday - Sports Uniform Sam is here for sport, students are to wear their sports uniform including sports trackpants. School jumper or jacket only. Students may also wear their flexible uniform if they wish.

Tuesday - Formal Uniform Girls - Formal tunic, stockings, tie Boys - Long sleeve blue shirt, long navy pants and tie. School jumpers only.

Thursday - Flexible Uniform Students are able to wear their casual uniform as they participate in yoga with Mrs Leslie. Girls are encouraged to wear pants instead of their tunic. Students are not to wear full sports uniform on this day. No North West jumpers.

Friday - Sports Uniform Students are to wear their sports uniform including sports trackpants. Students who would like to wear their North West coloured jumper are allowed to on Friday only.

Teachers will be recording uniform, if your child is out of uniform, over a week and marked 3 times, there will be a phone call home. Out of uniform, includes coloured hoodies, Canterbury pants that have colour/bright logos (plain navy is acceptable), North West hoodies on any other day than Friday and inappropriate shoes/socks. The school sells all items of the school uniform except girl’s stockings. The P&C also has a clothing pool for a small donation.
