The limited warranty is effective for threeyears from the date of purchase. The limited warranty isapplicable only if the Fit List and instructions are followedand the products are used properly. If a customer believesthat a Yakima product is defective, the customer mustreturn it to an authorized Yakima dealer with proof ofpurchase. Yakima will then issue authorization to thedealer for the return of these products. If an article isfound to be defective upon inspection by Yakima, Yakimawill repair or replace the defective article at its discretionwithout charge. The customer will pay freight to Yakima,and Yakima will pay any applicable return freight.Unauthorized returns will not be accepted. Install the extension.

REMOVE the endcap by prying it

from the crossbar.

Press the sand dollardisc toward the baruntil the bar clampcompletely covers theend of the bar.

Tighten the clampscrew using the

wrench.

There must be at least 1.5”of crossbar to install

the extension.

Loosen and slideyour crossbar if necessary.

Do not forget totighten the towers again!

Extend the bar away from the car.TIGHTEN THE KNOB.

• NEVER extend the bar with aquick, throwing action.

• If the clamp becomesdisengaged from the end of thecrossbar, tighten the clampscrew as in step 4 through 7.

Inside of crossbar should be free ofheavy corrosion. This could preventthe extension from operating smoothly.

Loosen theknob so thethe bar can

slide.

DECIDE WHICH BARWILL HOUSE THE

EXTENSION.We recommendusing the front

crossbar.

Carefully insert theextension into the opencrossbar.

Loosen the bar clampscrew using the wrench

provided (on the carton lid).

MEASURE:Q TOWER USERS:Do not loosen your towers!

If your crossbars are too short, youcould install longer crossbars, or slide

your existing bars off center. In anycase, you must completely reinstall your

system using the instructions, and themeasurements specific to your vehicle.If you have lost your instructions, see your

Yakima dealer.

SLIDE THE EXTENSION BACK INTO THE CROSSBAR.

POSER LE BRAS

ENLEVER le bouchonse trouvant dans lebout de la barre.

Pousser le disque à motif“dollar des sables” versla barre jusqu’à ce que lemanchon du brass’emboîte complètementpar-dessus le bout de labarre.

Serrer le boulon depincement à l’aide de

la clé.

Pour pouvoir poser le bras,la barre transversale doit

dépasser le pied d’au moins4 cm (1,5 po).

Au besoin, desserrer etfaire coulisser la barre

transversale. Ne pasoublier de resserrer les

pieds ensuite!

Sortir le bras.SERRER LE BOUTON.

• NE JAMAIS sortir le bras d’ungeste vif et soudain.

• Si le manchon se dégage du boutde la barre transversale, resserrerle boulon de pincement (voiropérations 4 à 7).

Il ne devrait pas se trouver à l’intérieurde la barre transversale une quantitéde corrosion telle qu’elle empêcheraitle bras de coulisser librement.

Desserrer lebouton pourque le bras

puissecoulisser.

DÉCIDER DANSQUELLE BARRE LE

BRAS SERA MONTÉ.

Nousrecommandons

d’utiliser la barretransversale avant.

Enfiler avec soin le brasdans le bout de la barretransversale.

Desserrer le boulon depincement de la barre à

l’aide de la clé fournie (surle couvercle de

l’emballage).

MESURER: SI VOUS AVEZ DESPIEDS Q:ne pas desserrer les pieds!

Si les barres transversales sont trop courtes, ilest possible d’en poser des plus longues ou de

décentrer la barre déjà en place. D’une façon oude l’autre, il faudra réinstaller le porte-bagagescomplètement en suivant les instructions et les

mesures spécifiques à votre véhicule.Si vous n’avez plus les instructions d’origine,

consulter votre dépositaire Yakima.

Ajuste el tornillo de laabrazadera con la

Afloje y deslice eltravesaño si es necesario. ¡No olvide ajustar lossoportes nuevamente!

Extienda el travesaño haciaafuera del vehículo.AJUSTE LA PERILLA.

• NUNCA extienda el travesañocon movimiento rápido.

• Si la abrazadera se suelta delextremo del travesaño,ajústele el tornillo como en lospaso 4 a 7.

El interior del travesaño debe estar librede corrosión que podría impedir elcorrecto funcionamiento de la extensión.

Si los travesaños son demasiado cortos,puede instalar otros más largos, o desplazardel centro los que tiene. En todo caso tendrá

que reinstalar completamente el sistemasiguiendo las instrucciones y las medidas
