I am familiar with capital expenditure budgets and have a BA in Economics. I have a strong understanding of union operations, grievance procedures, and contract negotiations. I enjoy learning about our rich history and attending school functions (sporting events, musicals, band concerts, art exhibits, scouting activities, etc.).”

“Most importantly, I love this community. I grew up in Dolgeville and, after living away after college for about six years, I returned and have come to make a home for myself and my family. My extended family lives in the immediate area, allowing me to interact with many nieces and nephews. It is a strong, protected village where children can play outside and where going for a jog in the early morning hours is safe and rewarding. There is no other village where I could feel more at home.”

“Funding is the most pressing issue facing both education in general and Dolgeville Central School. We have experienced major inconsistencies in state and federal aid (GAP Elimination Adjustment Aid and Foundation Aid are still not being satisfied). While the costs of education is increasing, the taxpayers of our small community cannot afford high budget increases.”

“Our buildings and equipment are aging. Healthcare costs for school employees have increased. Keeping up-to-date with ever-evolving technology is costly. These are just fixed costs. To help maintain our high standards for student achievement we need to stay competitive with Advance Placement and college credit classes, special education, technologies, art, music, athletics. With limited funding and aid programs, we have to be creative with our decisions so that our children can continue to grow and learn and become well-rounded citizens.”
