Central Intermediate Unit 10 – approval to contract with Alicia V. Fischer as a School

Psychology Intern at a salary of $39,633 – At the March 28, 2019 meeting the Board approved the

employee offer of $47,633 which will be retracted upon acceptance of intern offer

B. Motion to approve the Predoctoral Internship Agreement between The Pennsylvania State

University and The Central Intermediate Unit 10 – approval of the agreement for training and

supervision of school psychologist intern, Alicia Fischer, for the 2019-20 school year

C. Motion to approve the Supervisor Agreement between Central Intermediate Unit 10 and Dr.

Jessica K. Dirsmith, NCSP - approval to supervise as agreed to for the predoctoral school

psychology intern, Alicia Fischer, for the 2019-20 school year, $8,000 (42 weeks at $95.24 an

hour)

D. Motion to approve the Memorandum of Understanding Between Central Intermediate Unit 10

and Tri-County Education Association - approval to hire a school psychology intern position for

the 2019-2020 school year

19. Educational Audiologist

A. Motion to approve the Educational Audiologist Contract with Leslie Purcell from Penn State's

Educational Audiology Clinic for up to four hours a week at $50.00 per hour

6. Contracts and Agreements

Revenue:

A. Capital Area Intermediate Unit – Amendment to original PIIC Agreement – CIU 10 to receive

an additional $1,500.00 for three additional days of services

B. Montgomery County Intermediate Unit 23 – CIU 10 to receive funds from MCIU to organize

and operate the 2018 Family Learning Conference on June 21 and 22, 2019 – expected cost and

reimbursement from MCIU, $14,913.95

C. West Branch Area School District - CIU 10 to receive payment from West Branch Area School

District for the 2019/2020 Central Intermediate Online Learning Association (CIOLA)

membership, $7,500.00

D. Harmony Area School District - CIU 10 to receive payment from Harmony Area School

District for the 2019/2020 Central Intermediate Online Learning Association (CIOLA)

membership, $5,000.00

E. University of Pennsylvania – Agreement for CIU 10 to offer University of Pennsylvania's Penn

Literacy Network graduate-level courses – CIU 10 will retain $200.00 per registrant for the 4.5

graduate credit course – CIU 10 will retain $50.00 per registrant for the mini 1.5 graduate-level

courses

Disbursement:

F. Sweet, Stevens, Katz and Williams (SSKW), LLP – Special Education – Purchase provides

access to SSKW attorney staff as are available and are acceptable to CIU 10 as well as two half-

day professional development opportunities – this resource provides telephone and online access

to up-to-date information regarding special education, ESSA Every Student Succeeds Act

compliance, student services and student civil rights issues, $9,000.00

G. Riverview Intermediate Unit 6 – Riverview Intermediate Unit 6 will provide Physical Therapy

services one day to CIU 10 at Soaring Heights Clearfield – April 25, 2019 through May 30, 2019

– Services will be provided at the rate of $633.11 a day – An increase of 6% will be added to

account for increases in salary and benefit costs – Initial approval by way of Policy 003 - Board

learning opportunities, including school safety, digital citizenship, information security,

instructional design, social and emotional learning, and software applications among other

topics. Total disbursement over three years is $4,480.50

I. Bucks County Intermediate Unit 22 – Agreement for Bucks County Intermediate Unit to

provide overall coordination of the Computational Thinking in Action (CTiA) program, including

acting as a liaison with the University of Pennsylvania and all lntermediate Unit partners. Meet all

requirements of the PAsmart Advancing Grant to ensure procurement of grant funds – CIU 10

will receive funds from BCIU in order to provide training and guidance to Glendale Area School

District for the CTiA Program - $2,500.00 (to be received from Bucks County Intermediate 22)
