THE SHOW

EDITORIAL OUTLINE OF THE PODCAST

The narrative of each season of the podcast is built around following the journey of an early-stage start-up for

six to eight weeks. Distilled into ten episodes of 20 to 30 minutes each, it includes the highs and lows of being

an entrepreneur in the Netherlands, pivotal moments, serendipitous meetings, challenges and celebrations,

and much more.

During the recording of the podcast, the host is often physically present in the startup’s office, at the events,

and on meetings, as well as holds regular check-in calls with the founder(s). The types of audio materials that

can be used in the series include interviews with the founders, employees, investors, and other people that the

start-up has to deal with, as well as ambient office sounds, meeting recordings, on-stage appearances, and so

on.

The start-ups featured in the show are headquartered in different parts of the Netherlands (and, potentially,

Europe). One of the goals of the podcast is to show the respective local ecosystems the way a startup

experiences them — from community initiatives to early-stage investors to accelerators to events to corporates

that could be interested in working with the start-up.
