Imagine:An easy-to-use,standardlanguage for allwind powerplants.Worldwide.Precise, logical,off-the-shelf.

Believe it or not:

It exists!

Talk digitally to your OEM, service provider, inspectors, from your data base directlyinto a work instruction, in real-time

Work on important analysis instead oftransferring handscribbled service reportsinto your O&M software

Be sure that the guy in the turbine isindeed switching the right breaker

Make cross-OEM analysis of whichsystem really causes the highest overalloutage cost and adjust your O&M strategy

Share your (anonymized) data withother operators at Fraunhofer IWESWinD-Pool to get up-to-date benchmarkreports

Import ready-off-the-shelf WTGstructures from FGW into your data base– no own efforts required

Relate and find all your documentseasily, for any engineering discipline

Sell your & buy other people’s windfarms and use their historical data andwind farm structure right away

Up in the nacelle find cable andbreaker of the broken gear oil pumpwithout searching pages of documentation

Ensure compliance with state-of-the-artstandards and be audit-safe

Use known power plant 2nd generationsoftware to identify your sickcomponents before they tell you theywon’t work

With this language (= designation system) you could

All this alone should alreadymotivate you to implement it.

But there are evenmore benefits !!

RDS-PP main features

This „language“ is called RDS-PP,Reference Designation System for Power Plants, and has lot of excellent features:

• It’s based on the highest levelinternational standards(IEC 81346-2 and ISO 16952-10)

• You can use it from the design stagethrough the whole plant life cycle

• It has been developed over 40 years byspecialists from the power industry,it really fits

• There are excellent applicationguidelines available:VGB-823-32 and VGB-823-01

• The integration into the standard forwind energy communicationIEC 61400-25 is already ongoing

• A large number of EU offshore windfarms already uses this system

… You will be not alone in applying it!
