In support of this direction, and to capture considerable near-term cost reduction opportunities, The Data Center Modernization project also has the lead responsibility to phase out data centers and small site server rooms as new data centers come on line.Currently working as Project Manager for DCM Mainframe Retirement Category 1 Project. Providing project plans for Mainframe Retirement, with critical path by application to retire the Mainframes and LPARs. Once we have the project plan build, we add actions identified as possible cost reductions to the schedule. This gives the Mainframe Team the information needed to start discussions with the ADM Leadership Teams on what help is needed to reduce the Mainframe cost and also improve the retirement date for Mainframe Environment. Manage detailed project activities to be sure we meet retirement date that will allow us a cost savings target of $20M per year by 6/30/2018.Project Manager of the Server Virtualization Project. Boeing significantly reduced the distributed server “footprint” by adopting virtualization technology throughout the enterprise. Servers supporting development test, and sustaining application systems (line of business and infrastructure) migrated onto virtualization technology. This was to support the enterprise three year target of a 50% reduction in physical servers 2008 through 2010. We exceeded x86 Server Virtualization Project to the agreed Scope, Time, Cost and Quality. Cost Savings to the Business 100M, we now have less physical servers and more VM servers enterprise wide.

2004 – 2005 Integrated Defense Systems, Anaheim, CASystems Administrator Provide UNIX system administration of associated equipment, Network Appliance, IRIX and Netbackup services. Responsible for maintenance, problem resolution, server performance and capacity monitoring and analysis, system upgrades and enhancements, configuration management, security practices and special project support. Work directly with customers, developers and Information Technology personnel to resolve UNIX server, workstation, tracking and resolving user-reported application and related problems. 1999 – 2004 Boeing BMC3 & Strategic Systems, Anaheim, CASystems Administrator Responsible for the administration of associated UNIX equipment and related Oracle database services. This includes client/server architecture, equipment/software planning, acquisition, installation and operation. Plan, schedule, apply, and track changes on client/servers. Manage the use of server’s resources to support processing workloads. This includes insuring that all system client data is backed up on a regular basis. Perform capacity planning, collect performance data, and tune server resources. Responsible for security practices and monitoring UNIX and Oracle database servers. Work directly with EPACS and other customers, developers and Information Technology personnel to resolve UNIX server, workstation, and related problems.

1997- 1998 Rockwell International Semiconductor Systems, Newport Beach, CAInformation Systems Specialist Senior position supporting computer security requirements across all Rockwell International Semiconductor systems locations, with emphasis on establishment and maintenance of SAP user profiles, as well as execution of added SAP corrections, transport processes, distribution of UNIX, NT, Windows 95, Mainframe, ACF2, Sybase DBMS, remote access, e-mail, network file servers and VMS platforms.

1995 – 1997 Boeing Autonetics & Missile Systems Division, Anaheim, CASystems Administrator Supported a proprietary program in maintaining, upgrading and managing a SunOS, NIS, and HP-UX network environment comprised of UNIX workstations and PCs. Responsible for interfacing directly with computer system users and provided training, controlled computer access security, identified equipment needs, and reported computer system status to management. In addition, performed software and hardware installation and upgrades, system reconfiguration, backups, off-site network support and general maintenance.

1994 – 1995 Rockwell International, Telecommunications Division, Newport Beach, CAHuman Resources Systems Administrator System Administrator for all Human Resources Resumix Database system resources. Responsible for systems administration in a multi-platform client/server RDBMS environment. This includes all software, training requirements, system procedures, and maintenance on the SunOS. Working as the primary contact for all problem resolutions and troubleshooting on Resumix systems. Created and deleted accounts for users, enabled privileges, software upgrades and conversions, backup files, and set up new devices. Transferred data using FTP to the PC environment. 1984 – 1993 Boeing, Autonetics Strategic Systems Division, Anaheim, CAComputer Programming Assistant Supported Systems Engineering. Member of a team which innovated a SunOS into the MOSS Lab for real time flight simulation. Utilized UNIX operating system and Interleaf’s Desktop Publishing Systems on Sun’s SPARC Station 10 to generate documentation, briefing charts, plots, tables, figures, scanning of artwork, computer graphics, and supported Systems Engineering in execution of flight simulations. Custodian for the Classified Interactive Processing facility used to execute classified evaluation programs at the mainframe computer at a remote facility. Maintained daily audit trail records and KG84 encryption/decrypting equipment, coordinated computer time with the other facilities, and troubleshot malfunctioned hardware. Performed security inspections and interfaced with various agencies responsible for auditing security practices. Responsible for lab on-site assistance with preparation of databases. Supported management and engineers by maintaining schedules and forecasts using PC application software. Supported proposal for establishing a Software Configuration Management Plan. The purpose of the plan was to define the requirements for controlling and recording changes in software and documentation for future phases of software development.
