sheesham: it is also known as Indian Rosewood or Dalbergia sisso and considering

as fast-growing hardwood. These trees mostly found in mild India forest. They take

18 to 22 years to reach 100 feet height. As a hardwood, it can be used for everyday

use furniture plus other applications like flooring, boats, musical instruments, cricket

bats etc. It has beautiful natural grains similar to Teak wood and comes in red and

yellowish colors but can apply other different colors during manufacturing.

Teak: This wood is one of the strongest, most durable hardwoods in the world and

has excellent resistance even teak wood is able to survive through decades without

a loss. Teak wood can be found in South and South East Asia which can grow

around 150 feet. This wood is used for ship building, railways, furniture, cabinet

making and various other commercial purposes because of its special

characteristics. Teak wood colors are palw white (young) and yellowish brown (old).

Deodar: Can be found mostly in India, Nepal, Pakistan and Afghanistan and can

reach height of up to 250 feet and 14 feet girth. The uses of deodar are house

construction, support beams, floorboards, doors and door frames, window frames

and furniture. Deodar is in great demand as building material which is because of its

durability, rot-resistant character and fine, close grain, which is capable of taking a

high polish.

Bamboo: Bamboo is a grass but one of the strongest natural building materials.

They can grow up to 30 meters height located all around the world. Bamboo has

over 1200 different species it is one of the basic raw materials for traditional uses.

Bamboo is used for handicrafts, furniture, utensils and houses, and it is also widely

used in modern wood and paper industries.

Sal: Sal trees are mostly located in Assam, Nepal, Bengal and on the bank of the

Yamuna river. They can grow up to 30 meters their color is whitish (young) and

become dark brown by getting old. As one of the strong materials, Sal wood is used

for door and window frame, wooden beam, batten, piles and tool handle, however it

is not suitable for shutters and furniture.

Plywood: Plywood is made out of thin wood layers glued together supplied in a

range of sizes and thicknesses which make it very strong and it also resists cracking,

bending, warping, and shrinkage, depending upon its thickness. These kind of

woods have many uses in construction and they are mostly used for walls, floors,

ceiling, roofs, facades, frames, formwork and shuttering.
