It has one of the lowest electrical utility rates in the country, and is managed by Carpathia Hosting, a leader in enterprise managed hosting services. The facility will be one of the most technologically advanced data center projects in the US and began servicing clients in October 2008. The Blue Ridge Data Center was designed by Total Site Solutions and is engineered to meet or exceed the Uptime Institutes Tier III Data Center classifications as a secure data processing and management host facility. The flexible design and enhanced power and cooling capacity will produce a state-of-the-art facility meeting the demands of cus- tomers with the strictest security requirements. Serviced by a dual fed 69,000 volt utility service feeding on site redundant substations, the facility delivers a 100% Service Level Agreement (SLA). In addition, BRDC is not sub- ject to electrical consumption limitations that have been occurring in Northern Virginia. Following the electrical rate increases that are occurring in Northern Virginia, the proj- ect has the least expensive electric rate in the state. Site Location Washington, DC Nuclear Blast Zone
