Blue Jeans (Lana Del Rey) The video Blue Jeans by artist Lana Del Rey was edited to have a Black and white filter throughout which in my opinion makes the surrealism of the deception of the crocodiles being used in shots much more effective than if it were in colour and adds to the portrayal of the artists, as Lana Del Rey’s music is not exactly contemporary pop but would have been classed as so in the 19 th century, which is what makes her and her music so controversial. The use of water in the music video is very creative. As she is approaching her lover in the water there are constant medium close-up shots of crocodiles swimming in and above water, and some shots have been impressively edited to look as though she is at times is swimming in the same water as the crocodiles in close proximity making the viewer sometimes fear for her and causes slight anxiety but interest at the same time. The crocodiles as they swim around come across as representing the lover approaching her in the water. There are also some performance and beauty shots

Blue Jeans (Lana Del Rey)The video Blue Jeans by artist Lana Del Rey was edited to have a Black and white filter throughout which in my opinion makes the surrealism of the deception of the crocodiles being used in shots much more effective than if it were in colour and adds to the portrayal of the artists, as Lana Del Rey’s music is not exactly contemporary pop but would have been classed as so in the 19th century, which is what makes her and her music so controversial. There are also some performance and beauty shots which have been edited to look as though they are blurry and she is performing whilst looking back at her reflection in the water, a more creative way of presenting performance shots. Besides some medium shots of her lip syncing whilst lying down involving rays of sunlight being reflected in water on and around her body which again add to the interest of the Mise En Scene.
