Alas, with Christmas Eve services barely a thing of the past, we all must get back to work, including your friendly neighborhood AGO chapter. Here is a brief look at our December and some upcoming events for January. First, the AGO sincerely wishes to thank Elizabeth Clark, our hospitality chair, for hosting the annual Christmas party at her home! Friday, December 7, everyone enjoyed a brief respite from all of their finals and Christmas prepa- ration, instead enjoying each other’s company and Christmas baking. January brings with it the bulk of prep- arations for the AGO’s annual program of sacred organ and choral music, ChoralFest. This year’s program of music will include Stanford, Taverner, Distler, and much more! See page – for a schedule of rehearsals and perfor- mances. We look forward to seeing everyone at our performances: Friday, February 1 at 8:00pm in Auer Hall and Saturday, February 2 at St. Meinrad Archabbey. Also in January, IU welcomes audition- ing students to our campus (and our practice rooms!) Per usual, the AGO will sponsor a hospitality room for our newcomers on the following Friday mornings: January 11, February 1, and March 1. Please keep these dates in mind and check your e-mail for infor- mation on how to sign up to help! Looking forward to a terrific spring. Happy perusal! Yours, Katie Timm AGO CHORALFEST 2013 Clear your schedule on Friday, Febru- ary 1st, for the JSoM organ department’s annual choral extravaganza! That’s right, folks, Choralfest is just around the corner, and the organ department couldn’t be more excited to share this evening of choral and organ music with you. This year, organ students will join together to sing, conduct, and accompany music written during times of war. Rehearsals occur on Monday nights at 7:30 at First Presbyterian Church and Wednesday afternoons at 12:20 in Auer Hall. We sincerely hope that you can join us on February 1st at 8 PM in Auer Hall or February 2nd at 3 PM Central/4 PM Eastern at St. Mein- rad’s Archabbey. Members are always welcome to meet- ings of the Chapter Executive Commit- tee. The next meeting time is yet to be announced. Contact an Executive Committee member for details. Jubilate! From the DeanDear all,

Welcome back after what I hope for you was a restful (and I know a well-deserved) Christmas vacation!

Friday, December 7, everyone enjoyed a brief respite from all of their finals and Christmas prepa-ration, instead enjoying each other’s company and Christmas baking.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our performances: Friday, February 1 at 8:00pm in Auer Hall and Saturday, February 2 at St. Meinrad Archabbey.

Per usual, the AGO will sponsor a hospitality room for our newcomers on the following Friday mornings: January 11, February 1, and March 1.
