This is a triangular shawl, knitted from the top down. The increases are made on both sides of the central

stitch and along the edges of the shawl in each odd row.

There is a lace patterning on both sides, all stitches, including yo and reduction are knitted (K).

The diagrams show only a half of the shawl, but you should work also a central stitch and the edge loop.

The diagrams in each row should be read from right to left. The central stitch is worked as K on both

sides. Materials:

Circular needles: US 1,5 - 2 (30ins)

0,5 – 2 mm crochet hook (for the cast on and placing beads)

About 5-10 g. size 8 beads

My shawl is made from 80 g of Aade Lõng Artistic 8/1 (100% wool, 875 yards (800 meters) /100g), color Pink-Lila, circular

needles Addi US 1,5/30 ins.

Blocked size: ~ 63/32 ins. It also depends on your choice of yarn and needles as well as the individual manner of knitting.

How to begin:

Using provisional yarn with a crochet hook make a chain of 7 sts, then with main yarn pick up and

knit 5 stitches knitting in the bumps on the back of the chain. Knit 8 rows in garter stitch. At the end

of row 8th

turn your work 90° clockwise, pick up and knit 3 sts along the longer side of the strip.

Undo the provisional yarn and pick up the five open stitches onto the left-hand needle and knit them

(13sts on right-hand needle). Continue your work with 5-sts garter border at the beginning and the end

of each row.

Set-Up Row (WS): 5-sts garter border, yo, 1K, yo, 1K (Central stitch), yo, 1K, yo, 5-sts garter border

– 17 sts on right-hand needle.

Then work the Body of the shawl (all sts are knitted (K).

Make yo on both sides of the central stitch and along the edges of the shawl in each odd row while

having 237 sts on right-hand needle:

5-sts garter border +113 K+1 Central stitch +113 K +5-sts garter border =237 sts.

Work the Rows 1-26 of the Border once. There is a lace patterning on both sides.

Pink color in the diagram represents the locations of beads.

Work the Rows 1-28 of the Edge once. There is a lace patterning on both sides.

Pink color in the diagram represents the locations of beads.

The next row (RS) is finishing. Cast of all sts very loosely, cut your yarn and weave in the ends.

Wet your shawl, then block, using the method on page 5. Enjoy it!

Method of blocking

Many thanks to my test - group for the written instruction)))

So, put your wet shawl on a horizontal surface.

Fix the ribbon of the shawl (the longest part of the triangular shawl that falls on the shoulders) with pins.

Then gently pull down the Central loop of the edge, lock it with a pin.

Lock the the corners of the edge symmetrically:

1- block the the Leaf part with 3 pins.

2- block the the Between Leaf part with 1 pin.

Don't be afraid to pull the loop of the Edge, the tines should be obvious. You will succeed!
