Blog ideas After looking at quit a few previous blogs I have taken in to consideration what I want to include in my magazine, I have a lot of ideas for my own magazine and what it will include, I stumbled across a few blogs that caught my eye, I might even think of using some of their ideas and apply It to my magazine. The one thing that all the blogs had in common was the fact that they all followed the code and conventions of their genre of magazine, their magazines would have been appealing to their target audience. Some of the magazines, everything done on the magazine was relevant to what genre the magazine was. From looking at the blogs i have an image of what my magazine will look like, from the font to the images I have an idea of how it will pan out in the end. From reading the evaluations and what mistakes the students made and how they came by it I will learn from their mistakes, although there is a lot to learn as I don’t know how to use some of the, also I have seen how the student have planned their work, I will try to apply the same skills to my work. For this project their need to be a lot of researching, so that I can my work easier for me instead of just making a magazine with no research, most of the research done is relevant to the genre of their magazine. Some of the research done is about already existing magazines that match their genre e.g. nme, vibe, kerrang est. by researching already made magazines the planning of the magazine will be made very simple. For the school magazine I’ve seen how people have stuck to certain colours and fonts to make it look more sophisticated and not all over the place, one of the school magazines that cought my eye was this one from Gemma Lovitt , its simple yet sophisticated which is great for the audience. It meets all the conventions of a magazine made for a school; it includes all the things that are needed to help the reader.
