About Us We started our Martial Arts program in Novem- ber 2005. At first we offered informal Self Defense classes. In 2008 we began implementing structured curriculum, formal testing protocol and competition participation. Our students participate at regional, national and international competitions. In January 2012 we were officially recognized by Chunjido International as a certified Martial Arts training center. Our instructors and assistant instructors are certified and well trained with many years of experience in the Martial Arts. We teach the hybrid martial arts system “ Tekio Jutsu” , which utilizes Karate Techniques, Forms( Kata) as well as Distance Control and Balance Exercises from the deep roots of fighting. Our Self Defense Drills are based on Traditional and Modern Jiu Jitsu. Sensei Mario Schapp has worked extensively over the last several years to develop “ Tekio Jutsu” an amazing system of teaching individuals with disabilities or challenges. This program has recognized wonderful results in teaching martial arts to the Blind Community and others that may have obstacles and challenges on their journey to Black Belt! Sensei Schapp’s comprehensive pro- gram is achieving major milestones and accom- plishing goals for the Blind Community that are unprecedented in the martial arts industry. Instructor Sensei Mario Schapp

Mario Schapp is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do and 2nd Degree Black Belt in Chunjido. He is a certified instructor and Owner/ Operator of Satori Arts with 11 years of teaching experience and 19 years of Martial Arts training.Mario is a certified Gracie Jiu Jitsu Instructor authorized by the Gracie Family to teach their Martial Arts system. Sensei Schapp teaches theMartial Arts Program at the Blind Community Center of San Diego since 2005. He is the Chief Instructor at Blind Community Martial Arts San Diego and at Gracie Jiu Jitsu Solana Beach, Ca.Mario is a successful competitor at regional, national and international Martial Arts tourna-ments. He holds 6 national Karate titles, won the silver medal at the 2007 Open Black Belt World Championship in Toronto, Canada in Kata and a 3rd place in Sparring. Sensei Mario is Weapon Kata Champion and the winner of the bronze medal in Team Sparring at the 2010 IBF-European Karate Championship in Kiev, Ukraine.Mario Schapp is the President of the International Budo Federation- USA and the California State Director for Chunjido- International..
