First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to
review this catalog. Whether you’re a past customer or a
new customer, your interest in our program is what keeps
us striving to become better every single year.
Coming o! of our most successful year to date in the
show ring, we are truly humbled by the recognition our
cattle are gaining nationally. Good cattle in the hands of
hard working families make our job a lot easier, and we
truly appreciate all our past customers’ confidence and
dedication to our program. With that being said, I do
believe this year’s o!ering runs deeper from end to end
than we have ever o!ered. Many of these females will
sell well under their future value. Along with years past,
plenty of success stories will arise out of this group of
heifers. I feel like this is a testament to great homes and
great genetics. We are confident that these genetics give
you a great opportunity to be successful. We enjoy win-
ning shows as much as anyone, but the true testament
to this set of cattle will be how they produce for you in
the pasture. Whether you purchase a high seller or a low
seller, I truly believe all of these females are capable of
making you money, or else they wouldn’t be in the of-
fering. Breeders World and DVAuction will be covering our
sale live this year. I urge you to utilize this option if you
are unable to attend. Also feel free to contact me or any
of our consultants and sale sta! about the o!ering. Vid-
eos of all females in the sale will be available online, as
well as at our Maine-Anjou stall in Kansas City. Be sure
to stop by, we would love to meet you and talk about the
o!ering. Once again we thank you for your interest and look
forward to seeing you all on the 6th of November.

1For the second consecutive year, a daughter of Boss Beauty 84M is our Lot 1. Genetically, it is impossible to deny her of this spot. Last year alone, sibs claimed top honors in Denver, Louisville, Kansas City, and Fort Worth, as well as the CO, IN, IL, and OH state fairs. Not to mention two of the most talked about bulls in Denver in X and X2. If genetics alone don’t sell you on this female, take just one look at her, and you will be sold. She is awesome at the ground, perfect in her rib shape, has the ideal amount of power, and just has the look to carry on the family legacy.

2In my opinion a true donor cow is one that continues to put heifers in the sale and in the pasture, year in and year out. Once again our Sharpie donor has graced us with this beautiful female. A year ago the Je! Wagner family purchased this heifer’s full sib, and after a successful year in the show ring, she is ready for the donor pen. This year’s model may be as a good a show ring prospect as Sharpie has ever produced. She is absolutely flawless at the ground and as feminine a female as we are o!ering. If pedigrees are important to you in selecting your future show heifer and future donor, look no further.

Sibs have already sold this fall in Ge!ert and Lautners’ sales. I know it is hard to sell 3 full sibs in one sale, because one always seems to be the best and the
others get overlooked. However, these three sisters are as high a quality Maine-Tainers as we have ever o!ered. Early visitors have a hard time deciding which one they like best. I personally change my mind daily, so we will o!er all three.
Find which one fits your liking and buckle up. These are the type of MaineTainer females winning today, and all three sisters will have their day.

In Back to Basics IV, I described BBR Welcome 990W as having as much earning potential as any in the o!er-ing. That female went on to have a successful show career, and after selling her first natural calf this fall, she is headed to the donor pen at Vicklands’. These 3 full sisters have that same potential. Look at the overall rib shape and volume in these females. They are naturally really powerful, yet maternal in their overall look. Not only will these heifers show well, you better clear a spot in the donor pen.

We purchased these embryos in the Kansas City sale two years ago, and we were so intrigued by this female, we purchased the right to flush 943R in Tim Weber’s sale last fall, and we are sure glad we did. Lot 9 is so im-pressive for a high-percentage Maine. She is beautiful in her head, neck, and shoulder design and has plenty of rib shape and power to run with the best. Lot 10 is very similar to her sister, in terms of type and kind. Un-fortunately, her recip put her a little behind the eight ball, in terms of condition, but pay attention sale day. These two sisters will be ready for the ring.

These three Whiskeys all have their place in the industry. The Lot 11 female screams “donor cow”. Moderate and stout, deep and bold. Whiskey females are the ticket to big payouts mated to Heat Wave and sons. Sit back, and cash this ticket in.
If you look up “coke bottle necked” in the dictionary, you may see a picture of this young baldy female. Everything about this female is cool. Big legged, big haired, and big time potential.
seriously consider Lots 12 and 13. If you don’t, these versatile females will also show MaineTainer. Pick your show, and pick your breed. This is the combination heifer of
the three. Up headed and long necked, yet still symmetrical in her rib shape. This Whiskey daughter is big legged and possesses that show ring balance and style.

She is so elegant about her head and neck, has that swooping rib shape we all desire, and is super sound. Everything about this female is maternal.

BBR Jolt 1184y is a full sib to the 2010 Maine-Anjou Reserve Jr. Show Heifer of the Year, which was shown by the Tolle Family. After she claimed Reserve Champion Female honors at the Junior National, we came home and flushed this cow again. Believe it or not, all seven eggs she made stuck. Unfortunately for this sale, Lot 16 was the only female born along with six brothers (look for a very impressive brother in Denver). It is a little scary how similar this heifer is to her sister, in terms of bonework and femininity. If this May baby is anything like her sister, she will get better every day of her life. Don’t miss out on your chance to be part of it.

A really good baldy heifer out of a really good baldy cow. This em-bryo came from Bushy Park Farms a couple years ago. Weaning and the long hot summer was a little harder on her than most, but I was as high on this one as any last spring. She is super sound, really good looking, and great haired, for a high-percentage Maine. Genetically, you know this one will be great someday. Don’t let her slip through the cracks. She could surpass them all.
The most up-headed, longest necked female we are o!ering. When you walk in to the pen, this female will demand your attention. She is so level in her lines and very flexible. This one has all the pieces. I

A standout since birth. I love this heifer’s overall balance and look. She puts so many things together in a powerful, yet maternal package.
Her dam gets bred to Discovery every year, and this heifer and the two sisters we have retained in the herd are the reason why. Up-headed, big hipped, powerful, and loads of natural dimension. One whale of a cow prospect sells here.
Really a unique opportunity in the o!ering out of Ge!ert’s famous 100L, mother of numerous high-sellers and champions, along with being the mother of the AI
bull, Open Bar. This MaineTainer female is powerful from front to rear. She is powerful down her top and carries that power all the way to the ground. Yahoo is super sound and hairy and will be a blast to show and then put in the donor pen.

One of the top Purebred Maines in the o!ering. This spring I was very impressed with the Suh calves as a whole. This female rose to the top. She is long necked, smooth shouldered, and smooth jointed. Her mother is a top donor for Beauprez & Vickland. Maybe a touch green at picture time, but this female looks to be an exceptional bred heifer.
A really nice moderate Heat Wave heifer. At picture time I didn’t realize this heifer is out of a PB Maine cow. She will show Mainetainer. Ms Ste!y is powerful enough to show with the market heifers, but sound enough and good enough to run with the breeding females. Either way, she fits, and it should fun.
Another impressive Suh heifer from Beauprez. Daisy has only been here a few weeks, but she is one that will really grow on you. Low maintenance and fault free. This female is really good at the ground, has that big swooping rib shape, and a real maternal look.
