This is the story of Blik, the world’s first removable wall graphic company. But before Blik became the internationally acclaimed design company they are today, it started as just two people looking for something di!erent.

One night while Scott Flora, an architect extraordinaire, and food writer Jerinne Neils, were debating whether to paint or wallpaper their walls, they realized that neither option was really what they wanted. The problem was, what they did want didn’t exist. In addition to that, they quickly discovered that there were very few alternatives to this whole paint/wallpaper conundrum.

Looking to end the tyranny of limited options, they decided to do something about it. And that something was Blik. Soon, the oppression was lifted, and people were liberated to try something unique, di!erent, and a lot less permanent. Welcome to the newly renovated world of Blik.

*Blik is a recipient of the Product Design Distinction Award for Furniture from the I.D. Design Annual.

**Along with Apple, Pixar, Google, Nike, and others Blik was a participant in the 2006 National Design Triennial at the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum.

Jeremy Fish, who lives in San Francisco, was born in 1974 in Albany, New York, and has lived and worked in San Francisco for the last 16 years. In 2006, Fish worked with Nike Skateboarding and designed the Air Classic shoe. He has also collaborated with hip-hop artist Aesop Rock for the album The Next Best Thing. Fish works his designs on to t-shirts, skateboards, and vinyl toys, and launched his own clothing company superFishal.

Mina Javid holds a BA in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and a Masters in Architecture from the University of California at Los Angeles. After working for several years in a prominent Los Angeles architecture firm, she launched her design o"ce, Mina Javid Design, in 1999 with the intent of a!ording strong, contemporary design to all scales and aspects of the built environment. This multi-disciplinary approach includes architectural, interior, furniture, and product design. Her sensibility and design palette is continually inspired and refined through her travels throughout Asia, Africa, South America, Europe, and the Middle East.

David Bray was born in Dartford, Kent. He graduated from Central St. Martin's College of Art and Design. Not only is David a popular practicing artist, he is also a successful freelance illustrator since 1996. Some of his corporate clients include Harvey Nichols, H&M, Canon, Vodafone, BBC Television, Nokia, Puma, Virgin, Sony, Kickers and Charles Worthington.
