We are currently in a series called #Impact61752. The scriptures we have been examining encourage all Christ followers to impact their communities for Him. As we unpack what our impact should look like here in the 61752 here are some possibilities: I = Intentional God has a purpose & a plan for every one of us. Therefore we should live our lives intentionally worship- ping Him, serving Him, and sharing Him with our neighbors. M = Meaningful The Gospel message is the most meaningful message the world has ever heard. As we hear it and em- brace it weve discovered that the next step is for us to share it with our community. P = Present Even Mr. Rogers knows that when Jesus came to earth He literally moved into the neighborhood. He made a huge impact on us. In order for us to make any kind of an impact on our neighbors well have to do more than just show up. Well have to be active, concerned and involved in peoples lives to truly be present. A = Available One of the many concepts Jesus modeled in his life was how interruptible He was. He was constantly aware and alert to anyone who had needs. He was constantly available 24-7. IF we are His followers we will strive to do the things he did. That may mean that some things on our daily agenda dont get done cause we are relentless about making ourselves available to friends and neighbors with needs. C = Connect T = Transform We wont let the cat out of the bag here in the newsletter. Youll have to come and join us for worship the next few weeks to see and hear the next steps in the process. It is exciting for us to see that several of our families here are already out there IMPACTING the 61752 and beyond! Nice going-keep it up! May God bless us all as we strive to do our best representing Him to the 61752 and to the entire area! Have a blessed summer everybody! -Jeff Mayfield - Senior Minister jeff.mayfi[email protected]

We are currently in a series called #Impact61752. The scriptures we have been examining encourage all

Christ followers to impact their communities for Him. As we unpack what our impact should look like

here in the 61752 here are some possibilities:

I = Intentional

God has a purpose & a plan for every one of us. Therefore we should live our lives intentionally worship-

ping Him, serving Him, and sharing Him with our neighbors.

M = Meaningful

The Gospel message is the most meaningful message the world has ever heard. As we hear it and em-

brace it we’ve discovered that the next step is for us to share it with our community.

P = Present

Even Mr. Rogers knows that when Jesus came to earth He literally moved into the neighborhood. He

made a huge impact on us. In order for us to make any kind of an impact on our neighbors we’ll have to

do more than just show up. We’ll have to be active, concerned and involved in people’s lives to truly be

present.

A = Available

One of the many concepts Jesus modeled in his life was how interruptible He was. He was constantly aware and alert to anyone who had needs. He was constantly available 24-7. IF we are His followers we

will strive to do the things he did. That may mean that some things on our daily agenda don’t get done

cause we are relentless about making ourselves available to friends and neighbors with needs.

C = Connect T = Transform

We won’t let the cat out of the bag here in the newsletter. You’ll have to come and join us for worship the

next few weeks to see and hear the next steps in the process. It is exciting for us to see that several of our families here are already out there IMPACTING the 61752 and beyond! Nice going-keep it up! May God

bless us all as we strive to do our best representing Him to the 61752 and to the entire area! Have a

blessed summer everybody! -Jeff Mayfield - Senior Minister [email protected]

This spring has definitely been one for the books. Laura resumed work after her surgery in Jan-uary, only to hear that her dad’s cancer had returned. Shortly after his tests in April, we were back and forth with hospice and finally planning a funeral. In the same amount of time, we de-cided to part ways with the Carpenter’s Inn property up town, which left us with the summer months to figure out where our students, especially BreakPoint, were going to meet. Then launching the Impact61752 series, Eric’s surgery in Maryland, graduation activities, house hunting…sigh. With ups and downs all over, we’re finally into the summer months. We found out almost by accident that Vale Church was giving away their portable classroom unit. Eight days after a chance phone call, that building now waits in LCC’s yard to be put in place and used as our new YG meeting space! I think the Lord is proving himself to be faithful through small and large blessings. I am a little overwhelmed with the summer that lies ahead, but at the same time excited about all the opportunities on the horizon. I appreciate your prayers and can’t wait to see how the Lord uses LCC in the next few months.

Happy Meal & our Teen Youth Group will roll into one this summer. As we’re between perma-nent meeting spaces and trying to be as efficient with the time we have, we’ll meet at the Willis house (for as long as it remains that way) and have our dinners as a part of our youth group time. As always, it’s a good chance to invite friends, on-ramp into YG if you’re new or haven’t been in a while, and connect outside the “walls” of the church building.

Vacation Bible School is coming! Amped! VBS takes place August 5th-10th, so make sure that big event gets put on your calendar. We’ve had great response and success with our church’s VBS program in the last few years, with record numbers last year. This year’s theme and pro-gram look like they have a recipe for another great year. But the most important part of the whole shebang is the 60+ volunteers that work directly with the kids and families that join us for the week. You guys make this happen; it’s the leaders, teachers, musicians, artists, regis-tration helpers, food servers, and nursery workers that brings all the stuff in the box to fruition. I hope you’ll make yourself available to our community and help create another successful VBS. Contact me or the office to join the team. Save those dates!

Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate Bryan Tucker's high school graduation and Wayne Brake's retirement from State Farm.

Wayne & Barb Brake, & Heather, Bryan, & Caleb Tucker.

As many of you know over the last 6 months our family has had our ups and downs with the most recent being the lost of Laura's father. We would personally like to thank each and everyone of you for the kind words, calls, meals, childcare, and so much more during these difficult days. We are so thankful that we belong to a body of believers who have gone out of their way to show us love. While only God knows what tomorrow will bring we have hope for a future that is bright and will last forever. Thank you for allowing God to use you to bless our family!

Love Joe, Laura, Isaiah, and Isabella Willis.
