BAPTISM: Parents who wish to have their child/

children baptized should contact the Parish Office for

arrangements. A preparatory session is mandatory

for the proper formation of parents and godparents.

MARRIAGE: Those wishing to enter a sacramental

marriage should contact the Parish Office at least six

months prior to the intended date.

VISITING THE SICK: Please inform the Parish

Office should a relative/friend who is homebound/

hospitalized need a pastoral visit or the Sacrament of

Anointing. A priest will attend to the Sacrament and,

as needed, will arrange for Holy Communion to be

brought to your loved one.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION:

Preparations for the reception of these Sacraments

are taken care of by the Office of Faith Formation.

A weekly TELEVISED SUNDAY MASS has

begun airing on WCBD, Channel 2. The Mass will

be broadcast at 5:00am and at 11:30am every

Sunday. When you or someone you know is

unable to get to church due to sickness or physical

impairment, the TV Mass offers spiritual comfort

and inspiration.

“GOD HAS A DREAM!”

Imagine that!! Why not??

If God is in charge, then we must believe that He has a dream for each one of us. Looking into

the events of Sacred Scripture (and God does act in human lives) we see, retroactively, that

the plan of God has unfolded numerous times in various persons and events. In this time of

Advent, we focus on God’s merciful (meaning: abundant love) plan for our salvation. The

prophets of old and the history of our forefathers in the faith amply demonstrate the Heavenly

Father’s concern for our wellbeing. He chose Joseph and Mary, against the many odds of their

day, for a very specific role in the salvation of the world. Very little is mentioned about these

two persons in the Sacred Scriptures. They were not wealthy; they were not ‘famous’ (in the

human sense of the term). They became famous by the fact that, in God’s plan, they submitted

themselves to His will and did what they believed was so – Mary, a young virgin, and Joseph,

more than likely an older man. Their betrothal, in keeping with the custom of the day, was not

alarming. However, it is their faith in God’s dream for each of them that they submitted

themselves to His will. This, more than anything else, is example for us too. God has a dream

for you and for me. Hard to imagine but faith dictates so for those who, willingly and lovingly,

open their hearts to enabling God to dwell in us and through us.

We await the closeness of the Birth of Christ. Time to spruce up the ‘dustiness’ of our lives and

prepare a hearth & home for the Savior of the World!

I join with Fr. Arnulfo, the Parish Staff, and all who minister to the community in wishing each

and everyone of you A BLESSED CHRISTMAS! May Jesus be the unseen guest at every

Christmas Table.

Este estimulante programa bíblico de finanzas personales

tiene algo para todos. La clase se reúne durante 6 semanas,

una noche a la semana. La clase es impartida por video por

Andrés Gutiérrez, con discusiones en grupos pequeños

dirigidos por Evelyn Palomo Siliezar. ¡Paz financiera te enseña

los principios para manejar el dinero a la manera de Dios y sus

maneras funcionan! Familias, parejas, adolescentes y solteros

están invitados. Las clases comienzan el 11 de enero a las

6:30 PM en el salón parroquial. Después de la clase, se le dará la oportunidad de inscribirse

“¡Dios Tiene un Sueño!”

¡¡Imagínense eso!! ¿¿Por qué no??

Si Dios está a cargo, entonces debemos creer que Él tiene un sueño para cada uno de

nosotros. Mirando los eventos de las Sagradas Escrituras (y Dios actúa en las vidas

humanas) vemos, retrospectivamente, que el plan de Dios se ha desarrollado numerosas

veces en varios eventos y personas. En este Tiempo de Adviento, nos enfocamos en el plan

misericordioso (significando: abundante amor) de Dios para nuestra salvación. Los profetas

de antes y la historia de nuestros primeros padres en la fe demuestran la preocupación de

Nuestro Padre Celestial por nuestro bienestar. Él escogió a José y a María, contra todos los

pronósticos, para un rol muy específico en la salvación del mundo. Muy poco se menciona

sobre esas dos personas en las Sagradas Escrituras. Ellos no eran ricos, no eran famosos

(en el sentido humano del término). Ellos se hicieron famosos por el hecho de que, en el

Plan de Dios, ellos fueron sumisos a Su voluntad e hicieron lo que ellos creyeron era Su

voluntad – María, una virgen joven y José, seguramente un hombre mayor. Su

compromiso, siguiendo la costumbre de la época, no era alarmante. Sion embargo, es en su

fe en el sueño de Dios por cada uno de ellos, ellos se sometieron a Su voluntad. Esto, más

que nada, es un ejemplo para nosotros también. Dios tiene un sueño para ti y para mí. Es

difícil de imaginar, pero la fe nos dicta ese sueño a aquellos que, deseosa y amorosamente,

abren sus corazones para permitir que Dios viva en nosotros y a través de nosotros.

Esperamos la cercanía del Nacimiento de Cristo. Es hora de engalanarnos y acicalarnos el

polvo de nuestras vidas y preparar un corazón, un hogar, ¡para el Salvador del mundo!

Me uno al Padre Arnulfo, al personal de la parroquia y a todos los que sirven a la comunidad

para desearles a cada uno y a todos ustedes ¡UNA NAVIDAD BENDECIDA!
