All data sources are complete and with no gaps. WFP activities in Somalia are of very different nature. This service request is focused on the monitoring and assessment of the draught mitigation measures that have been carried out during the second half of 2015 in seven different locations: Biyomane, Booramo, Dahir Ogle, Dindinta, Dofarey, Miirsaare and Tuur. Constructions include Water catchment/pans and soil bunds and stone lines. See table below for further details. The core users of the map is UN World Food Programme (WFP). The potential additional users of the map are any other authorities involved in in-field operations. The scope of the service request is to monitor advances made in the implementation of local humanitarian recovery construction projects in Somalia, in particular drought mitigation measures and to assess their impact on the surrounding vegetation recovery. Map products are available in the Copernicus EMS Portal at the following URL: http://emergency.eu/mapping/list-of/components/EMSN027 Delivery formats are GeoTIFF, GeoPDF, GeoJPEG and vectors (shapefile and KML formats). E-mail: [email protected] - http://emergency.copernicus.eu/mapping The present map shows basic topographic features such as transportation, hydrography, physiography, population and landcover, with special focus on the drought mitigation measures WFP´s built during the second half of 2015, and any other related features found at the surrounding of the the previously listed seven locations in Somalia. These basic topographic features are derived from public datasets, refined by means of visual interpretation of post-event image: SPOT 6. All satellite images have been radiometrically enhanced and georeferenced. The estimated geometric accuracy of this product is 3 m CE90 or better, from native positional accuracy of the background satellite image. The estimated thematic accuracy of this product is 85% or better, as it is based on visual interpretation of recognizable items on very high resolution optical imagery. Only the area enclosed by the Area of Interest has been analyzed. 1:4,000 Grid: WGS 1984 Zone 38 N map coordinate system Tick marks: WGS 84 geographical coordinate system Water Catchment - 2016 ± 0 0.1 0.2 0.3 0.4 0.05 Km The products elaborated in the framework of current mapping in Risk and Recovery mode activation are realized to the best of our ability, optimising the available data and information.
