DAY 2: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2017 - ARRIVE INTO TEL AVIV, ISRAEL

Our flight arrives at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) where we are greeted by our guide and assisted with arrival procedures. Dinner and overnight beside the beautiful Mediterranean Sea at the Kfar Maccabiah Hotel.

DAY 3: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2017 - CAESAREA MARITIMA / MT. CARMEL / TIBERIAS (SEA OF GALILEE)

Today we depart for the Galilee enjoying stops at the extensive ruins of Caesarea, an ancient port city, built by King Herod and later becoming the seat of government of the Roman governors, and where Peter proclaimed the Good News to the Roman centurion (Acts 9 & 25). We then journey to Mt. Carmel where Elijah prayed and God defeated 450 prophets of Baal with fire from heaven (1Kings 18). We will arrive in Tiberius for dinner and overnight at the Ramot Resort Hotel in Tiberius.

DAY 4: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2017 - GALILEE / MT. OF BEATITUDES / CAPERNAUM / BOAT MUSEUM / BOAT RIDE / JORDAN RIVER FOR BAPTISMS

We begin our special time in the Galilee, rich in memories of the three years of Jesus’ ministry, by ascending the Mt. of Beatitudes where we enjoy time for spiritual reflection and meditation. We drive along the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum (Mark 1: 31-38), the base of Jesus’ early ministry, the home of Peter, and the site of many healings. Later we board a wooden “Jesus Boat”, a fishing boat of the kind used by the disciples of Jesus, for our ride on the Sea of Galilee, ending at the Jordan River baptismal site.  Dinner and overnight at the Ramot Resort Hotel in Tiberius.  Breakfast, Dinner

Leaving Tiberias this morning, we drive to Nazareth and visit into the Nazareth Village to learn about the childhood of Jesus and first century life. Then we continue our way to Megiddo the place for the end days’ war (Revelation 16:16) where we tour the site and head to Jerusalem. Continue to Bethlehem and visit the Shepherds Fields were the Angels appeared for the shepherds announcing the birth of Christ. Dinner and overnight at the Dan Jerusalem Hotel. Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 6: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2017 - EIN GEDI /QUMRAN / MASADA / DEAD SEA

Leaving Jerusalem this morning, we meander through the Judean desert and along the western shore of the Dead Sea. Continuing south, we enjoy a stop at Masada, the fortress built by King Herod and site of the last Jewish resistance against the Romans in 73 AD. Ascending the area by cable car, visitors are able to survey the ruins of the fortifications, waterworks, synagogue, temples and palaces. Visit Qumran – where the Dead Sea scrolls were written over 2000 years ago and discovered in 1947. We will include a special stop at the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on the earth, for a short float in the healing waters. Please be sure to bring water shoes as the bottom surface can be rough. If conditions permit, we will also visit Jericho today. Dinner and overnight at then Dan Jerusalem Hotel. Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 7: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2017 - MT. OF OLIVES / PALM SUNDAY ROAD / GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE /

We begin our day on the beautiful Mt. of Olives to behold the breathtaking panorama of the Holy City. Our pilgrimage will proceed down the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive grove, and the Church of All Nations, where tradition holds that Jesus prayed on the night of His betrayal (Matt. 26:36, John 18:1). Entering the Old City of Jerusalem through the Zion Gate, we walk through the modern “to the most holy shrine of the Jewish people, the Western (Wailing) Wall of Herod's temple. Beyond the wall lies the 35-acre temple area purchased by King David (2 Samuel. 24:18-25). Free time in the afternoon for shopping in Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight at the Dan Jerusalem Hotel.

DAY 8: MONDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2017 - GARDEN TOMB / ISRAEL MUSEUM / JAFFE / TEL AVIV

After breakfast we check out of the hotel and begin our morning with a visit to the Garden Tomb for a time of peaceful and reflective meditation followed by Communion. Next we visit the Israel Museum/Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are exhibited. Free time in the afternoon for shopping in Jerusalem. We then head to Jaffa for a special farewell dinner. Transfer to Tel Aviv Airport for our return flight back to the USA. 

**All travelers need to make sure your Departure Flight back to the USA is scheduled after touring on this day to avoid an extra overnight hotel room charge and ground transfer return to the airport.

RESERVATION and PAYMENT SCHEDULE: A deposit of $500 per person is required to reserve your space. Optional Travel protection will be billed with final payment. Reservations received inside 90 days of departure must be accompanied with full payment. Late payment will result in a late payment fee of $95 per person if received in the Faith Based Expeditions™ office within 14 days after final payment due date. This 14 day period is referred to as “Late Payment Period”. If the final payment has not been received within the “Late Payment Period”, then the participant/s will be notified in writing and immediately removed from the tour manifest and subject to the cancellation penalty outlined in the “Cancellation Penalties for Standard Tours” section in the Faith Based Expeditions Terms and Conditions.

CANCELLATION CHARGES: From Day of registration up to 101 (+) days prior to departure you will be charged a $300 per person non-refundable, non-transferable Administrative Fee plus any applicable hotel and/or supplier cancellation fee(s), which are non-transferable. Any cancellations from 100 days to the day of departure (Penalty Period) will be charged cancellation penalties which are non-refundable and non-transferable at the following rates and intervals plus any applicable, non-transferable fees from airline and/or suppliers: 100-80 days = Full Deposit; 79-45 days = 50% of tour price per person; and 44 - 30 days = 80% of tour price per person, and 29-0 days = 100% of tour price per person, which is not Transferable. If a person cancels after the Penalty Period begins and ultimately results in that person’s roommate having to room alone and therefore subject to a Single Supplement Fee, then the person canceling will be assessed the Single Supplement Fee. All cancellation fees are non-transferable. Please allow 2- 4 weeks for refund to be paid.

QUOTED PRICES: All quoted prices are in U.S. Dollars and are based on the current rate of international exchange between the U.S.Dollar and Foreign currency at time of publication. Whenever possible Faith Based Expeditions obtains price guarantees from suppliers. However, depending on the strength of the U.S. Dollar and the fluctuating cost for fuel, supplier expenses, government fees and other taxes, published prices are subject to change without notice and will be chargeable to the passenger up to the time of departure.

OPTIONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all travelers consider purchasing travel insurance. Overseas travel is expensive and with travel insurance, your travel investment an be protected. The travel insurance plan/cost available through Faith Based Expeditions is a “GROUP PLAN” offered by Travelex. A Travelex Brochure will be emailed to each tour participant choosing to purchase Travel Protection Insurance through Faith Based Expeditions.
