6. To make the Never-Ending Hexagon base, cut a 2 1/2” x 12” piece of white cardstock (if you’re using 12” x 12” paper) OR a 5 3/4” x 11” piece of white cardstock (if you’re using 8 1/2” x 11” paper). Die cut the white cardstock with the Never-Ending Hexagon and remove piece from die.

7. Pre-fold along each of the score lines in both directions to prepare the Never-Ending Hexagon base. As you fold

each side over into the adjacent triangle, keep the triangles centered over each other so they are as even as possible. 8. For illustrative purposes only, this Never-Ending Hexagon base has been numbered on the score lines in blue ink

and lettered on the triangle faces in pink ink:

[3]

The photo below shows how the numbers and letters are both facing the same direction. (In other words, the Never-Ending Hexagon base was turned around sideways, not flipped upside down.)

9. To assemble the Never-Ending Hexagon base, start by making a fold away from you on score line #5.

[4]

10. Next make a fold toward you on score line #2.

It will look like this when score line #2 is folded all the way down:

[5]

11. Then make a fold away from you on score line #8.

You will be tucking triangles A and B underneath the rest of the Never-Ending Hexagon base.

[6]

When folded all the way down, triangle A will touch triangle J (and triangle B will be touching triangle C). 12. Adhere triangles A and J together using 1/8” or 1/4” Scor-Tape. (If you’re using 1/8” Scor-Tape, we suggest placing

two strips side by side along each edge for added strength.) Before pressing down, you may need to pull and adjust the triangles slightly so that the sides match up evenly. The edges of the triangles cannot overlap, or the Never-Ending Hexagon won’t work properly.

[7]

13. Re-fold along each of the score lines in both directions again to “break in” the assembled Never-Ending Hexagon base. Practice opening it to ensure smooth operation.

14. To decorate the Never-Ending Hexagon base, stamp images and sayings as desired onto three 3 3/4” x 4 1/4” (or very slightly larger) pieces of white cardstock (oriented horizontally). Color images with pencils and blend with Gamsol.

15. Prepare the clear plastic pattern for first-time use by using a piercing tool to poke holes as indicated by the black

dots.

[8]

16. Place the clear plastic pattern over the first decorated cardstock piece, and make marks through the holes with a pencil.

17. Remove clear plastic pattern and set aside. The pencil marks have been enhanced with a black marker in the photo

below for illustrative purposes.

[9]

18. Using pencil marks as a guide, cut apart the decorated piece into six triangles. (In other words, cut the decorated piece in the same spots as the solid lines of the clear plastic pattern that you just removed. You can follow the pencil dots to see where those lines would be positioned on the decorated piece.)

19. Adhere the six triangles onto the first side of the Never-Ending Hexagon base. When adhering the smaller pieces to

the base, place them almost flush with the two inner edges of the triangle, with a thin border showing around the outer edge.

[10]

20. Open the Never-Ending Hexagon base to the next side, and repeat steps #16-18 for the second and third sides.

Here are the pieces used to decorate the second and third sides:
