HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Pills are hormonal contraceptives contain man-made Estrogen and Progestin hormones. These hormones inhibit the body’s ability to produce its normal hormones within a cycle. This causes the body to stop ovulating.

2. The hormones in these pills also change the cervical mucus, making it thicker and harder for the sperm to pass through.

The ring is inserted into the woman’s vagina and left in

new one is inserted for the next 3 weeks.

in birth control pills.

Birth control implants are small devices that are inserted

under a woman’s skin that releases hormones. The implant

is a small plastic rod about the size of a match stick. It

contains the hormones Progesterone and Etonogestel.
