Academic Engagement
The Collection Management team will establish regular meetings with key academic colleagues to • promote Library initiatives; • analyse the usage of reading lists and resources, the take-up of information and digital
literacy sessions, drop-ins, opening hours and usage of space and so on; • establish future resource requirements and the likely implications thereof on L&LR
subject budget allocations; • discuss and agree how allocated budgets should be spent to maximise student
satisfaction, value for money as well as providing a coherent collection of well-used resources to support teaching, learning and research;
• establish the requirements of future course developments and research initiatives and jointly plan accordingly;
• manage and fine-tune the collections to reflect the current and future needs and direction of the faculties, schools and departments.
