* Chapter 1What are birds?

Birds are the only animal that has feathers. Their are about 9,000 or 10,000 species of birds. They live about every where on earth!! Birds make beautiful sounds!!

Some bird are really big and the other are really small. Birds can build their nest up to 3 feet (side ways)!!

* Chapter 2Birds that can’t fly

A lot of birds can’t fly like: kakapoo, ostriches and penguins and lots of others. They can’t fly because they weigh too much. Each one has a special thing, like: swimming, climbing or running. They all have something special.

A lot of people think all birds can fly but they think wrong, some birds really can’t fly, even if they try, there just like us, if we try we go back down.

*Chapter3 Sicknesses

Birds can have lots of sicknesses. One kind of sicknesses can make then pick out their feather!! If your bird is sick, it will not eat so much, it will be really tired an be weak.

*Chapter 4 Feather

All birds have feathers. But some pick out their feathers so it looks like they didn't have feathers at the start, but they did. Feathers can be any color yellow, red, green ,black any thing!! Feathers are really soft.

*Chapter 5Eggs

Every bird lays eggs, big eggs, small eggs any size. Eggs have two covers just in cast something breaks the first one. Eggs have a airbag so the baby bird can breath. It takes 6-12 hours the break the shell. Baby birds have feathers in the egg!! Eggs can be any color.
