BIOSOLIDS DEMONSTRATION PROJECT – Biosolids Chemical Constituent Analysis BDP Webpage Rev 2013-08-14 V01 The attached chemical constituent analysis is typical of biosolids produced from Edmonton wastewater treatment plants. This 2010 sample report is from EPCOR-produced biosolids at the Goldbar wastewater treatment plant which were applied to the Al-Pac poplar tree plantation in Lamont County. Note the high level of organic matter in the analysis – almost 50% (first line of analyzed parameters). The organic matter, along with the nutrients available in the bio-solids, provides the soil conditioning desired for crop growing. For the BMS Biosolids Demonstration Project, regular analysis of biosolids applied to the project sites, and complementary soil analysis, will be done, and posted on our website to ensure compliance with provincial guidelines.
