1. Does BioBlast Disinfectant kill SARS-CoV-2 virus?

COVID-19 is caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus. BioBlast Disinfectant kills similar viruses and therefore can be used against SARS-CoV-2 virus when used in accordance with the directions for use against Norovirus and Rhinovirus type 16 on hard, non-porous surfaces. Refer to the CDC website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/home/cleaning-disinfection.html for additional information.

2. Will the spray application cause mold growth?

No, BioBlast Disinfectant is effective against fungi spores and used for mold remediation services. When applied appropriately, the product will air-dry after about 10 minutes.

3. How safe is BioBlast Disinfectant?

ECA (Electro-Chemical Activation) is a scientific process that mimics the body’s own natural process to fight off bacteria and viruses. When the body comes under attack, its immune system responds by releasing white blood cells and sending them to the invasion site. These cells produce a mixed oxidant solution that is highly effective in eliminating microbes and pathogens (Hypochlorous acid). The active ingredient in BioBlast Disinfectant is Hypochlorous acid.

4. Is BioBlast Disinfectant bleach?

No! Bleach is sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), an alkaline solution with a high pH. The Active Ingredient in BioBlast Disinfectant is Hypochlorous acid (HOCl), a pH neutral product having high germicidal activity compared to NaOCl. NaOCl can cause serious health risks and is extremely harmful to the human body.

5. Does BioBlast Disinfectant neutralize odors?

Yes, BioBlast Disinfectant is fragrance free and eliminates strong odors by killing the odor-causing bacteria, and not masking the odor! BioBlast Disinfectant eliminates odors from cigarette smoke, pet urine, mold/mildew, and many more!

6. Is BioBlast Disinfectant EPA-Registered?

Yes, BioBlast Disinfectant is EPA registered as a hard surface disinfectant. BioBlast Disinfectant is registered to kill a wide range of viruses, bacteria and fungi. (BioBlast Disinfectant EPA Reg. #: 92108-1-91701)

7. Is BioBlast Disinfectant safe to use around my pets?

BioBlast products are people, pet, and planet-friendly. BioBlast Disinfectant can be sprayed around your pets. Avoid directly spraying into your pets’ eyes. They could experience mild eye irritation if sprayed directly into their eyes.

8. Will BioBlast Disinfectant discolor or bleach my clothing?

When applied appropriately via the BioBlasting sprayer, BioBlast Disinfectant should not discolor fabrics. Spills of BioBlast Disinfect could potentially discolor fabrics. Avoid saturation of porous surfaces.

9. Is this Ionized water?

No! When water is “ionized” the user does not know what solution will result but can be sure that it will not remain stable for more than a very few seconds. When water is “electrolyzed” which means that an electrolyte is present, the user knows exactly what is being created and depending on concentration, time, and force of electrical charge can accurately determine the concentration and stability of each solution. Our ECA (Electro-Chemical Activation) Technology produces BioBlast Disinfectant with 30 EPA-Registered kill claims including high-level pathogens such as C.diff, Norovirus, HIV-1, MRSA, and many more. Ionized water products typically are not able to kill very resistant pathogens.
