BIOAVAILABILITY of CONTAMINANTS in SOIL
Considerationsfor Human
Health Risk Assessment
ITRC instructors will present a two hour training to help participants understand how to use bioavailabilityto improve human health risk assessment and refinesoil remediation requirements.
As a participant in this training you will learn to:
• determine when a bioavailability assessment maybe appropriate
• understand factors that affect arsenic, lead and PAH bioavailability
• select appropriate methods to evaluate soil bioavailability
• use tools to develop soil bioavailability estimates and incorporate them into human health risk assessment.
Participants are invited to preview training materials at https://bcs-1.itrcweb.org
Participants interested in this3rd May training are invitedto register by sending an email to [email protected] before the 20th March.
