Purdue UniversityGraduate Research Assistant, January 2014–January 2016
The objective is to enable mechanics of structure genome (MSG) to model more realistic microstructures such as aperiodic structures and materials.
Beihang UniversityGraduate Research Assistant, September 2010–June 2012
Researched on the evaluation of failure modes and damage mechanism of CFRP Composite. Numerically simulated delamination propagation of CFRP laminates under compressive load using cohesive elements and VCCT, considered damage mechanisms of fiber and matrix using Hashin damage criterion. Using a newly developed statistical method, assessed the validity of numerical simulation results of the residual compressive strength of laminates.
