  • READING WRESTLES MIDDLE GAME FROM PO- NIES: Despite facing the minimum with six strikeouts through the first three innings, Marcos Molina allowed five runs in his Double-A debut in Binghamton’s 7-4 loss to Reading. The 22-year-old finished the night with eight strikeouts over six frames, but would take the loss. David Thompson hit his fourth home run in the losing effort. He and Tomas Nido accounted for all four Rumble Ponies RBI. Scott Kingery bashed a pair of doubles for the Phils and finished the night 3-for-5 with 2 RBI. BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Chris Flexen makes his third start with the Rumble Ponies and sixth this season. The 22-year-old was hit with his first Double-A loss on June 13 at Erie. After winning his first start against Richmond, Flexen allowed three earned runs over 6.2 innings against the Sea- Wolves in a 3-1 defeat. In total, Flexen has given up just three runs across 13.2 innings with 11 strikeouts and no walks in his first two Eastern League outings. READING STARTER: RHP Mario Sanchez appears for the 18

The sixth-year pro has not allowed a run in 10 of his last 12 ap- pearances (starting and relieving) and has given up just three earned runs over his last 23.0 road innings (7 appearances). FIRST LONG BALL IN A LONG TIME: David Thomp- son’s fourth-inning home run was Binghamton’s first in nearly a week.
