    Jyotsna Venkataraman

    April 30, 2013 at 15:11

  • staff are extremely particular about punctuality.. So no matter what, reach ur class on time.. Even a few minutes of delay can screw ur attendance

    Jyotsna Venkataraman

    April 30, 2013 at 15:13

yes// 100 marks in all. 40 is for the trim paper.. remaining 60 is ur internals

MBA program is about enhancing ur KSA - Knowledge Skills and Abilities! Marks don't reflect your potential.. You need to have the right combination of KSA!

    Sathesh Kumar Sundararajan

    May 1, 2013 at 11:40

you have to give prior notice before taking leaves....

    Pavan Kumar R

    May 1, 2013 at 11:49

the thing is if u have low attendance, u wud be barred from writing the exams.. so to enable urself to write u wud have to pay the fine.. it is not 1k/paper - it is 200/day of leave.. obviously u pay that so as to write the exam.. but this doesn't guarantee u 6/6 in attendance.. even after u paying, u will get 0 only if u have 79% of attendance.. hope u understand!

    May 1, 2013 at 11:54

@pavan - when does summer placement begin

    Pavan Kumar R

    May 1, 2013 at 11:54

it began in Sep 2012 for us - just 2.5 months after joining

    Anurag Vellore

    May 1, 2013 at 11:58

May i know the difference between summer placememts and exeutive placements ?

    Sathesh Kumar Sundararajan

    May 1, 2013 at 12:08

executive placements refer to the jobs that you will take up after you complete the "entire" course

    Utthraa Mohanraju

    May 1, 2013 at 12:09

summer placements are ur internship, more like a project period that every student has to take up after completing first year. The duration is usually 6-8 weeks! U get a lot of exposure and gives u an idea of the field that u are about to enter! Executive placements are ur final placements that happens in the second year!

many companies want 1st yr students to do some research and submit it to them for their enhancements - often called market research in common terms. This is a work that may end up into positive growth or negative growth for the company. Typically companies don't give payments for this profile.. and about 40-50 ppl get this profile only given by start ups who want to know where their market lies or by small players who want to expand their business

    May 2, 2013 at 1:35

roughly 50-60 ppl get 8-9L or more every yr.. the real challenge is getting into that list and not compromising the profile u want also..

    Pavan Kumar R

    May 2, 2013 at 1:36

sometimes u want a particular role in a company - but that wud come up at 6.5 L only

    Pavan Kumar R

    May 2, 2013 at 1:36

from there on growth might be superb - but u need to settle for that right away!

    Anurag Vellore

    May 2, 2013 at 4:35

@ sunwinder : will every subject be taught from the basics or are there any prerequisites tht might help us after the course commences ?

    Sunwinder Pal

    May 2, 2013 at 4:38

the pre-requisite necessary is that you should be fully relaxed at the start of the course and then let the course take care of you

    Sunwinder Pal

hey guys admission office says that we can either post the signed doc of code of conduct or bring it on 21st...

    1) Do we have scheduled powercuts everyday? If so for how long?

As we have a generator scheduled power cuts are backed up , but however, due to non availability of diesel or other load issues, you might have power cuts upto 1-2 hrs max per day. This will be announced and taken care of by welfare Committee.

    2) Nearest ATM

SBI ATM (new one) about 1-1.5kms from HostelAnother SBI ATM about 2kms from Hostel in BHEL

    3) Do we have a curfew at the hostels? Curfew at 10PM in hostels. Girls have to get into their hostels strictly by 10PM

    4) What are the interesting places near abouts campus to visit?Few dams, kallanai, etc.. Usually we go out to eat, few restaurants are good and then we go for moviews. Thats the max. Trichy by no means of imagination has any site seeing places.

  • 5) How's the internet connection on campus? As in is it fast and can we download torrents/use online buffering sites or is it blocked?Torrets are blocked. Most frequently used is you tube. Don't worry about movies. We have an internal communicator there (IPMsg). With that many many moviees, videos wud be shared and you wud get all you require. Internet speed is very good.

    6) Faculty being strict:It depends on the faculty and the way you guys treat him. Most of them are very friendly and they treat u as grown ups. If we behave like school kids they get pissed off. Keeping them under the threshold is in your batch's hands. None of them would want to trouble you guys unncessarily.

    10:36

Pavan Kumar Rwe would be having ethnic day programmes conducted by our welfare committee members - for such days it would be better if you guys can be bring in your regional/cultural dresses - most tamilians wud prefer wearing dhoti/saree on that day to college.. similarly onam special for mallu's (actually everyone can wear that dress)..ppl also used to wear - sherwani, kurta pajamas etc etc.. if u guys can bring 1 or 2 sets of it, it wud be good to have during cultural fests/ethnic days etc!Kovendhan VenugopalConsidering the luggages and other stuff, Fast track will be the best option to come from Trichy Railway station or bus stand to campus. They ll charge u around 400 bucks (Night rate:21 rs x 16 km approx). Contact No: 0431 2888999
