Conduct community forest inventories and benefits assessments using the i-Tree software application
developed by the USDA Forest Service.
Direct and conduct habitat restoration and mitigation projects for public and private clients, including the
restoration of utility right-of-ways.
Manage invasive species for public and private clients, including Brookhaven National Laboratory, Nassau
County, Town of Brookhaven, and Town of North Hempstead.

CONSERVATION PROJECT DIRECTOR
As the Invasive Species Project Director for Long Island, led a team of scientists to coordinate and conduct
invasive species initiatives on Long Island and in New York State (NYS). Responsible for conservation
planning, ecosystem-based management, coalition building, public policy development, education and
outreach, and invasive plant management. Served as an at-large member of the NYS Invasive Species Task
Force and contributed to the final report for the governor. Worked with colleagues to spearhead efforts to
elevate invasive species to a high priority in NYS, and to raise millions of dollars in public funding. Supervisor’s

As a Preserve Manager and Director of Stewardship, managed 38 nature preserves and supported the

management, biological monitoring and research, education and outreach, grant writing, and threatened and

Served as a co-founder and the initial director of the Long Island Invasive Species Management Area (LIISMA),
