Overview of Marty’s Simple Model of a Universe

Marty describes a UNIVERSE as being DIGITAL in nature, and thus can be defined in terms of COMPUTER DATA STRUCTURES that get manipulated by COMPUTER ALGORITHMS.

Finite Limitations

Being digital in nature implies that there are FINITE LIMITS to the sizes of these computer data structures and to the capacities of various numbers used in the computations.

And, so, the term INTEGER is used to describe an integer number in computer terms, implying that it has a finite WORD SIZE 7 .

Ordered Definitions of the Components of a Universe

A Universe consists of a SET OF LOGICALLY DEFINED OBJECTS called PARTICLES. Each and every particle has an identical set of ATTRIBUTES associated with it, however, the VALUES currently ASSIGNED to these attributes can vary from one particle to the next.

Here is a complete8 list of the attributes associated with particles:9

1. An ARRAY INDEX NUMBER uniquely identifying it from other particles.

2. A LOCATION (an integer number, or a set of integer numbers if the Universe has more than one DIMENSION), relative to the CENTER of the VIRTUAL UNIVERSE that implicitly results from the definitions.

3. A VECTOR, which consists of a SPEED (an integer number) and a DIRECTIONOBJECT (DirectionObject), the Array Index of another particle, or the value null).

4. A PRIMEDENTITY (PrimeDentity), which is a unique prime number assigned to each particle in a set of particles.

A LIST OF PARTICLES thus makes up a Universe, and the attributes assigned to these particles at any point in time represent the current STATE of the Universe.

The relative locations of particles in the list enact the formation of STRUCTURES which can be VISUALIZED as constituting MATTER within the virtual universe.

This describes how a Universe can consist of a set of POINT-SIZE particles; they act a set of MARKERS delimiting relative locations that REPRESENT material within the virtual U.

States of a Universe

The state of a Universe at any point in time is defined by the values of all of the attributes associated with all of the particles in it. By making CHANGES to the values of these attributes, we effectively create NEW STATES of the Universe. Additionally, these changes implicitly enact changes to locations of particles marking out the material structures within the virtual Universe, resulting in VISUALIZATIONS OF PERCEIVED MOTION OF MATERIALS within it.

Changes made to the list of particles are implemented in a DIGITAL manner such that all are enacted at the same instant, thereby changing the state of the Universe in a set of discrete PULSES or TICKS OF TIME.

The motion of matter in a universe over a period of time can thus be described as an ORDERED SET OF INDEPENDENT STATES. We refer to the changes that occur from one state to the next as “STATE TRANSITIONS”.

State Transitions

Ok, now let’s review how these states transition from one to the next in Marty’s simple model:

At any point in time, all of the particles that make up a Universe are in a particular set of states (locations and vectors).

The next state of each particle is calculated by applying a simple set of RULES enacting only according to the present states of all the particles in the list.

This means each particle is considered for motion according to the relations of its state with the states of all other particles in the Universe at any particular moment in time. I’m calling these considerations a set of FACTORS.

The pseudo code for a run of the universe is included below in Note_BBF_4 and an in-depth discussion follows in Note_BBF_5.

Three Factors that determine the next position of a particle

 Only three Factors cause a particle to move into its next state , and each has an associated “FORCE” enacted by a different ALGORITHM:  1 - Sharing the exact same location at the same time with other particles (NUCLEAR FORCE) 

2 - Close proximity to a set of other particles (QUANTUM FORCE)

  3 - Speed and direction relative to only one other particle… classical physics and relativity (NEWTONIAN FORCE)

One force at a time and Prioritization of which force to use

Marty believes that only one of these forces is applied to a given particle in any moment in time. Each particle is considered according to the PRIORITIES listed above.

We first consider if the particle is ELIGIBLE for Nuclear force, if so, it is moved by Nuclear force rules. If not eligible for Nuclear force, then we consider using Quantum force, or if not, then the particle is moved by Newtonian force.

Lets knock off nuclear forces right now.

Nuclear Forces When more than one object occupy the exact same location10 a set of “Nuclear force Rules” is applied as a first priority in calculating the next positions for all of these co-occupying particles. The objective is to move each particle away from the position it shares with any other particle(s), into different positions; if we don’t get them into different positions, there might be a repeating co-occupation in the next tick of time, and this could repeat indefinitely, causing the program to infinitely loop, thus suspending all subsequent movement of all of the particles in the entire Universe. Which is a bad thing. In order to prevent an infinite loop, we’ll use the PrimeDentity specified for the array index number of the particle being considered to grant uniqueness to the calculation of its next position.

The Formation of Matter During a Digital Big Bang

Assumptions

In review, there are 3 exclusive “Forces” that enact upon the present state of each and every particle in the U. as they transition into the next state. I describe them as “Nuclear”, “Quantum”, and “Newtonian” forces. Nuclear forces are first considered, if not, then Quantum, and if not, then finally Newtonian forces are used to re-assign a particle into its next state.

We’re assuming that all of the particles are all logically assigned to be located in the center of the U. as the big bang began.

This represents a perfect ultra-concentration of particles, all “squeezed” into a single point size location.

Particle Spreading and Virtual Matter

Subsequent states of the U. will then have these particles spreading out away from the center, so particles will be located apart from one another, and THAT is how matter takes up SPACE in within the virtual reality thus created.

Could This Apply to Our Universe?

Instead of thinking about our Universe’s big bang as consisting of actual tiny bits of matter exploding away from the center, try to think of it as numbers counting their way outward from the number zero.

The set of point-size bits that scientists today call QUARKS map out relative positions that create the spatial relations that compose matter, EXACTLY THE SAME as can be done with a list of numerical pointers… the results are identical.

The conceptualization of this is difficult until you consider how things might appear from within a digital Universe. It’s simple to visualize it if you understand what I’m calling TIME FRAMES. Once you cross that hurdle, its easy the see that in reality, we’re all swimming in a sea of numbers. Put another way, reality IS numbers.

Virtual Computing

Note: The next 3 sections are YELLOW only if you can’t do basic arithmetic. Of course, I’m assuming in this statement that at least you can count to 3.

If you need to add some numbers together, you can get the job done in any of a number of ways, the most obvious is to sit down and use a pencil and paper. Or, you can speed things up, and even automate the process by using a tool like an adding machine.

When using a tool to perform some calculations, it doesn’t matter if you’re using an abacus or a slide rule. It doesn’t matter if it’s an adding machine that uses gears, sand, or fluids with valves. You could use an old SR 1011 pocket calculator, or you can use a computer; any kind of computer. The same set of calculations can also be made visualizing the answer, by looking at a set of charts, by asking someone to give you the answers, etc., etc., etc.

Whatever tools you might be using, whatever way it gets done, the correct results will always be the same. The only difference might be the speed at which the job gets done, but in the end the results of the calculations are identical. Nobody can argue about this, it’s as simple as it sounds.

The King

Lets take this a step further; King Bennett needs to perform 18 calculations, and he demands that the results must be correct. To be absolutely certain, his highness orders 9,000 of his closest disciples to somehow perform all of these calculations and report the results back to him in a list. Here is The King’s list of calculations to be performed:

1. 2 + 0

2. (The result of 1) + 3

3. (The result of 2) + 2

Etc…

Each of the 9,000 disciples use whatever methods they have available to them to complete the task and report their list of results, for example:

1. 2 + 0 = 2

2. (The result of 1) + 3 = 5

3. (The result of 2) + 2 = 7

Etc…

Again, the methods the disciples use to determine these calculations have no effect upon the correct results. The correct lists from all of the disciples are identical because all of the calculations were made by virtually identical methods. Anyone with incorrect results is battered to death with flying discs by the king himself.

Definition: How Computer Simulators Work

Some of the most useful computer application programs we have are called “computer simulators”. For example, IBM made a ton of money in the 60s and 70s with its “mainframes”, which are really big, fast and expensive computers. To keep IBM’s mainframe market competitive as the cost of hardware began plummeting in the 80s and 90s, they came up with the “Virtual Machine” (VM).

It sounds like hardware, but the VM is really a set of computer programs each of which behaves exactly like a different kind of computer. A single mainframe can run multiple VMs all at the same time, simulating a collection of disparate computer systems. So then, as cheaper mid-range computers like the AS-400 were introduced, IBM kept its mainframe market share by providing a VM program that acts exactly like an AS-400.12

Is there a point?

A program designed to run on the AS-400 has NO WAY OF KNOWING if it’s running on an actual AS-400, or on a Virtual Machine running on a mainframe simulating an AS-400, or running on any other kind of computer simulator, for that matter. From the point of view of the running program, the exact same sequence of state changes is executed.

And so, the exact same results occur, and the program doesn’t care.

Why should it care, after all, its just a program. The only thing that matters is that the calculations are performed correctly, and the output and results are in the correctly expected sequences.

Can We PLEASE Get to the Point?

Yes. To the pieces inside of the chess game (Bishops, Pawns, Etc.), it does NOT matter how the game’s players physically or logically decide on what moves are made. It does NOT matter who the players are, how many there are, or how experienced they are. It doesn’t even matter if the players themselves are actually computers!

Time Frames

Additionally, to the pieces inside of the game, it does NOT matter how long it takes the players to make the moves or whether they make them at regular intervals, because the only TIME FRAME they can relate to occurs from move to move.

Why?

Because time is based upon motion, and the only motion they ever see is the sequence of moves.

And so, just like programs running on computer simulators, and just like any ordered list of calculations, the exact same sequence of state changes gets executed within its own reality. The processing is real, even if the processor itself is simulated, the moves are real, even if the game is simulated, virtual, or “real”.

Relative Terminology of the Chess Game

When we play a game of chess on a computer, we’re really creating a virtual Universe within the memory of our running program. We can call this the INNER UNIVERSE, as it relates to the OUTER UNIVERSE in which we live.

For our game of chess, the players (in the Outer U.) take the time we need to decide the next move, and then make it all at once, even if it involves more than one piece. The chess pieces within the game (the Inner U.) only see the movement of pieces occurring as a sequence of events.

Similarly, if we created a program to simulate a Universe, what goes on within it is called the Inner U., and we still live in the Outer U.

This seems obvious until you consider the notion that SYNTHETIC LIFE can spring forth within the virtual inner world and evolve into intelligent beings, who can then go on to create computer simulation programs… can you see where I’m going with this? Inner and outer universes are relative terms. Is this starting to get creepy? Just wait!

Is the horse dead yet? OK, but here’s another analogy… let’s beat a pony to death now…

ABSOLUTLY NOTHING, That’s What!!!

Within the Inner-U, the only time frame that can be relate to occurs from tick to tick. Why? Because time is based upon motion, and the only motion ever seen is caused by the sequence of ticks.

To the characters living in this virtual Universe, time was NOT INTERRUPTED!!! The sequence continued, unnoticed, undetected. While the program was paused overnight, the Inner-U was unaware of any pause in time whatsoever!!!

You can take off for lunch for a whole week next time. Months, years, it doesn’t matter!!! THE SEQUENCE IS ALL THAT MATTERS inside the virtual U. It’s the only thing they can base their time frame upon. Each sequence change appears to have been executed exactly one tick apart, and it appears absolutely fluid and real from with the Inner Universe.

In the outer U., while the calculations are being made to move the inner U. into the next step in the sequence (the next grain of time), time is not perceivable; they’re frozen in a state of indefinite suspension because nothing moves in their Universe; Their sense of time passing is based only upon the relative motion of particles in their Universe occurring, as their brains acting as SIMULATORS14 are programmed to respond to their sensory input of such.

What they feel as they perceive time pass is their brain’s perception of these changes.

Demonstration of a Simple Universe: M7P1DPOU

Lets start with a simple U. to demonstrate my theories. It contains only 7 particles, and for simplicity sake, only one dimension, meaning that the locations of these particles are defined as a single number15. And because this is a DIGITAL universe, that number must be an INTEGER. To make it even simpler, let’s only use positive integers, so particles in this U. expand outwards only in one direction.

Let’s call this Marty’s 7 Particle, 1 – Dimensional, Positive-Only Universe, or M7P1DPOU for short.

You can follow this example along by running Octopus_2.exe, found inside of Z_Octopus_2.zip, freely distributed with this paper.

We can visualize the virtual M7P1DPOU as a long straight ruler, where each of the “inches” marked off delineate a discrete location along it. It looks as simple as it sounds:

OK, I’ll let you “fire up” my Universe by virtue of you reading onward. The first tick of time is about to occur in M7P1DPOU …

The first tick of time in M7P1DPOU

All of the 7 particles are co-occupying the same exact position, and so ALL of them will follow ONLY the nuclear force rules. This is the ONLY moment in the entire history of the U. when this is true, as described in Marty’s Theory on Maximum Particle Motion in the History of the Universe.

Marty’s simple model of the U. describes using a DirectionObject when implementing the Nuclear force rules. Particle #1 thus becomes the DirectionObject for all other particles, and it stays right where it’s at; the very “Center of the U.”.17

All of the other 6 objects that co-occupied the location are “moved away” simply by virtue of assigning different locations and vectors to the records in the data table.

In this version of the Nuclear force rules for M7P1DPOU, I’m using the PrimeDentity of the particle being moved to move it according to the following equation:

The second tick of time in M7P1DPOU

This is the only moment in the history of M7P1DPOU when no atoms yet exist AND YET no particles are co-occupying any locations. Because no particles are co-occupying any locations, nothing is moved in this tick of time by Nuclear force rules.

And, so, the next priority being Quantum force, all particles are subjected to it, except for DirectionObjects, which are not eligible for this consideration because that’s the way I designed it.

Since no atoms yet exist, the first two ticks of time are the only moments in the history of M7P1DPOU when no particle is considered for Newtonian forces. 20

The Formation of Atoms

The second tick of time begins the formation of particles in our U. into matter that we call Atoms by Quantum forces which I will, at last, begin to actually describe. Meat and gravy with spices is underway.

First, lets describe the term Atom: It means “an arrangement of particles”. Marty’s simple model of the Universe allows for a set of particles to be “locked into a tight arrangement” if they are found in close proximity of each other.

There are also different kinds of Arrangements; each simply correlates to a different grouping or gathering of a set of particles, resulting in different kinds of Atoms. These are known as ELEMENTS. Note that since there are only a finite number of combinations possibly available from a finite set of particles over a finite number of state transitions, there are a finite number of possible kinds of atoms.

In practice, only a relatively small set of possible kinds of atoms will be created, just like the reality of our own Universe. The reasons for this will become apparent as you read on, but TRUST ME, my postulations model what happens in the real world, and its all because of the mathematics involved. Creepy, creepy, creepy!

The Formation of Atoms in M7P1DPOU

For the purposes of this simple example, lets call the groupings that result by the names scientists use to call the elements of our Universe:

1. Hydrogen

2. Helium

3. Lithium

(etc…)

In reality, these smaller grouping most likely create the various sub-atomic structures that physicists these days theoretically invent to try modeling what they observe. But M7P1DPOU is my Universe, so I’m calling them atoms. Don’t like it? Move to a different Universe!

Additionally, I will now use the term FUSION to describe locking particles into a tight arrangement.

Algorithm for the Formation of Atoms in M7P1DPOU

Eligibility for Movement by Quantum Forces

As we loop through the list of particles we’ll consider them eligible for movement by Quantum force only if they have a null PrimeDentity and if they aren’t already being used as a DirectionObject21.

Next step: Determination of What Kind of Atom will be Created

In M7P1DPOU, when we encounter a particle eligible for fusion, we will determine what kind of atom will be created by examining the distances apart between it and all of the other particles that are also eligible for Quantum motion. Its really simple… if we find another particle apart by 1, we’ll make Hydrogen. If we find another apart by 2, we’ll make Helium, etc.

Examining the states that resulted from the first tick (M7P1DPOU:1, shown again, below), we notice the following;

1. Particles 2 and 3 are 1 away from each other, so they will become a Hydrogen atom.

2. Particles 4 and 5 are 2 away from each other, so they will become a Helium atom.

3. Particles 6 and 7 are also 2 away from each other, so they will also become a Helium atom.

Note that although particles 3 and 4 are also 2 apart, they won’t make be making any Helium because of the way the program runs; it’ll have already fused particles 2 and 3 together into Hydrogen before considering fusion of 3 and 4 takes place. By that time, particle 3 is already locked in, and not eligible.

Stating the obvious here, the order of execution the algorithms take is critical in making the Universe move.

Next step: Fusion

When the algorithm fuses them into the tight arrangement, it re-assigns the locations and speeds as being all the same and re-assigns each PrimeDentity as relative to each other within the arrangement, as ordered by the relative array index number…

1. Particles 2 and 3 become “FUSED” into Hydrogen at location 2 at speed 2. The PrimeDentity of particle 2 becomes 1 and the PrimeDentity of particle 3 becomes 2.

2. Particles 4 and 5 are fused into Helium at location 5 at speed 5. The PrimeDentity of particle 4 becomes 1 and the PrimeDentity of particle 5 becomes 2.

We can now refine this a bit further. In our simple example, I decided that I was going to call my fused particles atoms, and stated that in reality, these probably make up some sub-atomic structures which then get combined to form the components that make real atoms.

In any case, however, from here on out, the “atoms created” can be visualized as structures from within the virtual U. If you really stop to think about it, we have, in fact, created our own little Universe which looks real from within it, virtual or not!

Refined Definitions

The next sections describe what happens next, which is the motion of these created atoms as the Universe progresses onward. But before we do that, lets make some important re-definitions.

Matter

Lets RE-DEFINE MATTER in the context of digital universes. After the second tick of the U. we find “atoms” (elements) forming. Only NOW can we really call this matter!

Why?

1. Particles by themselves are just location place markers; “points size objects” that don’t really exist at all.

2. However, once multiple particles get fused into elements, they ESTABLISH A SPATIAL ARRANGEMENT within the virtual Universe. This is simply because they’re required to take up more than 1 location, and that takes up “space”.

Formation and Persistence

This might seem obvious, but lets think it through to clarify these definitions.

The instant a set of particles become fused into an arrangement they become a single elemental atom. However, because of the digital nature of these universes, this new atom won’t be able to affect anything else, at least until the next tick in time22.

We can thus define FORMATION as the tick in time during which the particles were fused.

And we can now define PERSISTENCE as the ability to remain fused over at least 1 more tick of time after formation.

So in reality23, only persistent pre-fused elemental atoms exist.

The List of Atoms That Exist at Any Moment in Time:

These concrete definitions of digital existence now allow us to generate a discrete list of all of the atoms that exist at any moment in time from the current Universe list of particle states:

These occur where multiple particles share the same location and also share the same non-null DirectionObject.

This is important, because this is where Marty’s simple model gets even simpler!

But we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Instead of making a separate category of attributes for force and energy in the Universe, all we really need to do is assign some mass to the atoms upon creation.

We already have speed, and we already have the means to calculate acceleration by examining the differences in speeds over multiple time frames.

By assigning mass to atoms as they’re created, we implicitly add all the energy that’s perceived within our Universe as force. This is where energy comes from!!!

Hey, that definition of mass really was simple! As a result, we can now say:

Particles by themselves have no mass, and therefore don’t affect anything else by Newtonian motion.

And:

Elemental atoms are the only structures assigned mass, so the list of elements (and resulting compounds) at any moment makes up the entire set of objects that need to be considered for Newtonian motion at that moment.

Simple again!! We are now ready to use this to cleanly define how Newtonian motion precisely works.

Drag

Drag is the effect all the other atoms in the universe have upon an atom. There are 3 forms of drag:

1. Chemical bonds

The formation of chemical bonds follows the same “digital” course of action that occurs in the formation of atoms29; there is a formation frame, followed by one or more persistence frames. Once a chemical bond is formed, it is very strong, and the motion of the molecules it’s bonded with create very strong amounts of drag.

2. Electrostatic (and magnetic)

Molecules (atoms and compounds) exhibit electrostatic characteristics, and these collectively create moderately strong amounts of drag.

3. Gravitational

All masses exhibit gravitational attraction to each other, albeit a weak force compared to the above.

Electrostatic effects are different from gravity, but these both behave according to a simple summation of components attracting or repelling one another. In the case of electromagnetism, it’s the counts and distances between components wherein their charges are considered. With gravity, it’s all about the counts and distances between components wherein their MASS is considered.

Let’s focus on gravity and Newton’s laws for now, and show how it precisely works for our digital implementation as a series of summation calculations performed upon a current list of all atoms in the U.

Once this process is understood, we can apply this same logic to a current30 list of all charged particles in the U., to calculate the cumulative effects of electrostatic force.

Chemical bonds are much more complicated, however, these are not required for the purposes of describing how matter first formed during a big bang. If you want to modify Octopus_2 to account for these, please be my guest.

Digital Implementation of Newton’s Law

Newton’s law applies to heavenly masses containing zillions of atoms. Marty will now make Newton’s Laws work for individual atoms.

Descriptions of Marty’s simple Universe throughout the book strongly suggest that every particle is affected by all of the other particles in a Universe. We will apply Newton’s Law to Marty’s Universe to arrive at a middle-ground solution that is, you guessed it, amazingly simple, but this one has a bit of a hidden twist to it.

Verbal Expression of Newton’s Law:

The Force between 2 masses (a) and (b) equals the mass of (a) times mass of (b) divided by the distance between the center of mass of (a) and the center of mass of (b), squared.

Newton’s Law as a Math Equation:

F = M(a) * M=(b) / (distance between them)²

Note that ² is not a footnote, it means “Squared”; multiplied by itself.

The squaring has the effect of changing the distance more pronounced than changing the mass. Marty will show you why it’s squared (below), and the reason will confirm my postulations!

Applied to a set of N other masses, each exhibiting individual forces (Fi), the overall force (F) upon an individual mass is calculated as the sum of individual forces:

Digital Rendition of Newton’s Law

In our digital rendition, we ‘re taking the entire thing down to a particle level. And happily, that makes things easy and also lets us work from the ground up.

One at a time, we only need to consider the “force” between 2 individual atoms, (a) and (b). Our algorithm will accumulate (sum up) these values over all of the atoms in the current list, thus calculating the cumulative gravitational force affected by them.

Substituting digital values into Newton’s equations, we see that our masses (a) and (b) each consist of only one atom, and so:

Mass (a) directly equals the Atomic Weight31 of (a), and M(b) = AW (b)

Also, we don’t need to worry about the center of mass, is all right there in that one digital location. Which is really nice!

The next part seems a bit tricky, but actually makes everything even simpler, and then it will explain itself and teach us all a bit about math along the way.

Start With Only One Dimension

For one thing, this makes the distance calculations simple, we don’t have to worry about using trig or calculus to determine distance between particles in a grid or matrix. In a 1-D digital universe, these distances are always integers.

For another reason, I’m developing a model that will work in multiple dimensions. My reasons for this will become more apparent as you read on, but the cool thing right here, right now is, it makes everything really simple.

Later, we’ll see this simplicity unfold into complexity when we add more dimensions. And the really cool part is, it will work, you will visualize why it works through the applications of simple math, and you will see why the motions of Universe can be reduced all the way down to this one simple equation!

Multiple dimensions… there’s your square!

The distance between 2 locations in a linear universe (1-D) is simply:

abs32 (Location of a – Location of b)

The distance between 2 locations in a grid (2-D) universe is more complex, involving trig functions. However, being a craps player, I can explain it using right triangles and Pythagoras. Remember the Wizard of Oz? The Scarecrow clearly stated:

“The square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle equals the sum of the squares of the other 2 sides.”

Or something like that, but that’s what he meant. In a 2-D universe the x and y coordinates are both present as attributes defining location.33

In 3-D, it involves another “order of magnitude”, using cubed numbers to locate the distance between 2 points located on a sphere, known as a cord.

A bit of calculus is applied to these distance calculations when used in Newton’s laws, reducing34 the cubed numbers in 3-D spatial locations down to squared numbers; and that’s how Newton’s law is derived.

Now you can see where the square from Newton’s law went in our “compromise” law? The squaring happens implicitly inside of the computer algorithm by using the additional dimensions in the summation calculations. Its simple arithmetic.

But there is still a missing piece and its revealed by the secret twist. Are you ready for it?

Calculating Speed

Also, we need to calculate the next speed assigned, simple, it works very similar to determining an atom’s next location as far as the process used to derive it.

This involves using the direction object and relativity is introduced.

Simply put, when we assign the speed, it is limited to a certain maximum… “the speed of light”, which is explained as a propagation in the description of radiation, below. The thing is, speed is defined not relative to the center of the Universe, but to the direction object, and these two processes blend relativity into the Newtonian principles as far as the speed of light goes.

But where is the secret twist. Are you ready for it? Huh? Huh?

“Unlimited” expansion of atoms moving away from the heart of M7P1DPOU

It turns out that in M7P1DPOU, after the big bang, no particles will ever co-occupy the same location again. It’s just the way the math works out. And for that reason, M7P1DPOU will never have any more application of the Nuclear nor the Quantum force rules, and so it will just continue to expand indefinitely35. Of course, that is, in a theoretic sense. In reality, the maximum distance is limited by the word size of the integer used in the computer making the calculations.

In order to make a Universe apply the Nuclear or Quantum force rules later in a Universe’s Life Cycle, it needs a few more particles, as we shall explore below.

*Clumping and Infinity

This is another important section!!!

Lets use a 3-D Universe so we can all get a good visual picture of a universe expanding outward. Matter moves away from the heart of the Universe. As the Universe expands, masses of particles begin to clump together, forming galaxies, stars, etc…

But why do they clump???

Marty says if the universe was continuous (not digital), matter would just continue to expand out in a homogenous cloud. In reality we know it clumps.

For centuries, scientists have theorized that particles do have discrete sizes… that there’s no need to think about infinitely small particles. It took scientists until just recently to admit that the Universe has a finite amount of matter within it. But even today, as modern as science is, still, nobody will admit that the Universe is spatially broken into a digital grid.

Modern Science’s best shot .. the “Space-Time-Continuum”

These days, the thinking is that there’s a space-time continuum. This term implies that an infinitesimal accuracy is achieved in both location and in time when calculating the movement of matter. That somehow, some kind of an “invisible relation” exists between all masses that INSTANTLY affect all other masses regardless of the distances involved.

I don’t know about you, but the idea that light is confined to a certain speed, yet gravity and magnetism are both instantaneous across the entire Universe just does not make any sense at all when your talking about a continuous Universe. Ironically, it makes PERFECT SENSE in a digital Universe!

But rather than criticizing physicists, lets just stick to the facts. We can laugh at them later, after the proofs are revealed.

Marty’s Opinions on the Theory of Space-Time-Continuum

Marty says it’s nice to use the concept in a theoretic sense, and to use the mathematics in a very precise model. However, in reality, a true space-time continuum is unachievable.36

Although the reasons for this can be in strongly argued from a theoretical sense37, we can now at last, approach proving this by direct observation AND by computer simulation… both yield the identical results, and this fact also serves as self re-enforcement.

In the Near Future: The Final Proof

Not only that, I soon expect yet ANOTHER form of proof to be derived that will provide a third and all-unifying point of view that will pull together everything into a crystal clear picture of what’s really going on. And I expected it all will be very elegant, simple, and most of all, mathematical in nature; like Newton’s law in the raw.

This final proof involves using our ever-expanding understanding of factors involved in making the calculations that govern the motion of particles in our Universe… I call them Parameters in the book, which is laced with a quest to determine what they are, and how they’re used in conjunction with algorithms to drive our Universe:

1. The speed of light (a known parameter)2. The number of particles in the U (we are close, we know the mass)3. The closest distance between 2 points (the grid size)4. The maximum range of the Universe (the size)5. The tick rate of the Universe (the heartbeat rate at which matter all discretely

How Finite Limitations Change Newton’s Law

Lets call these effects DIGITAL TRUNCATION and DIGITAL ROUNDING

Effect Upon the Denominator: Digital Truncation

Since the count of other atoms can be less if some of them are too far away, this DECREASES average drag when compared to accounting for all particles. This effect would be dramatic… at a certain distance, the effects would be abrupt and obvious; If the U. is expanding outward, then at a certain point, a subset of the universal mass would suddenly “break free” from the rest.

Marty believes this explains why the Universe is divided into separate galaxies, equally spread around and all similar in size, and why these galaxies don’t seem to effect one another.

Effect Upon the Numerator: Digital Rounding

OK! What happens when the result of the (The distance between the atoms) * (The mass of the other atom) is not an integer?

In a computer, infinitesimal precision is NOT possible, and digital rounding MUST occur. The effect is that all next position location calculations are rounded off into integers, thus “snapping” the object(s) into a single grid location.

These effects would be slight but ever-present.

Why Not Try Using Floating Point Numbers?

At this point, we could start discussing the use of floating point numbers in our programs, but that’s a stupid waste of time because it would still come down to the same argument a few bits and exponents down the word size within the floating point representation of the big number.

In my programs, I don’t even try to use floating point numbers for anything. I use INTEGERS and I think that everything computational in the entire Universe, from Newton’s law to Fibbanochhi sequences and Golden Rations uses them as well. When I say “I think”, it sounds subjective. A lot of what’s in the book is subjective, but this paper is PURE SCIENCE so I will stick to the facts and try to PROVE IT RIGHT NOW…

The Proof Is In The Shape Of The Universe!!!

Marty says this clumping is a behavior observed to occur in our Universe, predicted by my postulations, and proven by computer simulation. Here is why:

The Arm of Dave

“Dave the Caveman” is the acting as “The Arm” for “The Glizzard” …. The imaginary, yet very powerful, albeit very small lizard-type being responsible for flinging boulders into the sky. The Glizzard is imaginary in order to stay out of Dave’s line of sight at all times, because Dave, who’s really a childish, paranoid, sniveling ape of a being, is acting as if he were a grow-up, intelligent modern-day adult, and if he ever saw The Glizzard, even just a quick glance of realization that an animated figure lives in his world, he would scream and run in panic and terror. Hey, I would too.

That’s pretty easy to imagine, right? When I visualize this scenario, I’m assuming that it’s really important for Dave the Caveman to fling the boulders out in a very smooth, timely and uniform pattern, so they get distributed evenly in outer space. That’s because once a boulder leaves The Arm of Dave, gravity takes over, the exact same way we observe that it has always occurred throughout the history of our Universe.

MMMMKAAYY..

The C.E.O. of some big insurance company who somehow has dominion over both these characters walks in and slips on a banana peel that Dave tried to hide for some unknown reason. And here is what happens next…

He falls right on top of the Glizzard, and crushes it into a 2-D rendition of itself. Dave remains focused enough to ignore the C.E.O.’s still intact gall bladder fly by, his fling being completed with infinitesimal precision, just as he’d been doing for eternity. Well, at least over the past few years, anyway.

Anyway, Dave remained staunch and stern. He even got off one last perfectly launched boulder, flung as perfect as the rest, drifting off into the heavens in perfect placement with the rest of the boulders, expanding off forever and ever in a homogenous mass.

But then, out of the corner of his eye, Dave catches a glimpse of the Glizzard. And not only that, it’s a 2-D rendition of it, now expanding out to infinite size, so he really couldn’t miss it anyway.

You can imagine what happens next, and your welcome to send it in as an advertising suggestion if you want to, but seriously, you know what I’m driving at…Dave goes APE SHIT, and miss-flings a whole bunch of boulders into outer space.

The Wrath of Dave’s Stumble

OK, Einstein, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Unless you’re as dumb as Dave, you know, but let me go ahead and lay it all out just in case you believe that you actually understand the point of that stupid Glizzard’s British accent. Or is it Aussie?

Well first off, the C.E.O. dies and neither the lizard nor Dave get paid any more, so the operation is shut down. However, due to a bit of corporate wrangling, Dave isn’t told about it for 10,000,000 years, during which time he keeps the stream of boulders “very well flung”.

OK, but what about the dozen or so boulders that weren’t perfectly and uniformly placed just that one time? Can that one event impact the eventual shape of the Universe?

Your answer will apply to the imaginary world of commercials, to M7P1DPOU, and to the real Universe we live in…

CLUMPING Will Occur, That’s What!!!All by itself, the laws of gravity will begin to enact just a wee bit more upon those few boulders that drifted just a wee bit closer to each other than found in a homogeneous distribution… closer means more dense… more dense means more attraction, bringing even more boulders even closer to the “POCKET OF DISTURBANCE”.

Is this Example a bit too Far Flung?

Well first off, tell this story, as is, to any renowned team of physicists and then ask them how all of the stars and planets in a galaxy are formed. They WILL use it as an analogy, and rightfully so.

The obvious point was to show that clumping results from uneven distributions. Obviously!

However, there is another point, NOT obvious…

Not Obvious – the Consistency and Predictability of Unpredictability

What is not so obvious is that:

The causes of these little “interruptions in uniformity” can result from either inconsistent (and thus unpredictable) causes, or from consistent (and thus predictable) causes.

The shape of the Universe of the Arm of Dave

The Universe created by the Arm of Dave would look kind of like an apple core because only one “disruption event” occurred throughout its lifespan, and it occurred well after the Glizzard ordered its creation.

This INCONSISTENT EVENT resulted in, at most, a few clusters all created around the same period in time, oozing away from the heart of the Universe (Dave’s office, I guess), throughout the millennia, forming the apple core shape. Right?

The point is: we would easily recognize, even after 13.7 trillion years of running those stupid commercials, that something UNIQUE happened one time in its history.

What we would see if somehow a repeating pattern of disruption events continuously were being produced in a somewhat predictable pattern? Would it look like the Glizzard’s Universe? NO!

HECK NO, it would look exactly like what we see in the universe when we peer out into the night … NO evidence of inconsistent inconsistencies… no abnormally occurring events. And yet, WE GOTS CLUSTERS!!!!!! Lots of em’. “Billions and Billions”43 of ‘em. All perfectly spread around in a random pattern similar to the hair plugs that I’ll never get.

Not only that, there are 2 distinct levels of granularity, one being galaxies which all have a fairly consistent size and seem to be evenly distributed among the Universe, and the next level is the clustering that occurs within each of these galaxies.

And right here is where it should all sink in for you, I hope. Let there be light!44

OK,OK, I think the lizard is dead by now. We have Clumps. Now what?

Now we can easily predict what should happen, and, yup, it’s also what we see in reality, and what we find in computer simulators45…

Galaxies are formed, within them, the cosmos are created, and it happens ALL BY ITSELF… that’s what!

Once formed, the laws of gravity continue to function as advertised, and everything from here on out is very straightforward, except for a few things that still need to be accounted for, like Electromagnetism and Radiation.

However, we now have a rock solid foundation to build upon, and guess what, its all EXTREMELY simple… so far ONLY ONE equation was really used to create the entire Universe! Newton’s law RULES!

Marty’s Strong Opinions On Living In A Digital Universe:

1. I believe that clumping, which at first drew together the pockets which formed the galaxies, and then formed all of the heavenly bodies within them, is due to digital rounding (the slight but persistent effect upon the numerator).

2. I believe that galaxies are all consistently sized and evenly separated from each other because of digital truncation (the dramatic one-time effect upon the denominator) taking effect at a certain distance from the heart of the U., where they rip away from the expanding core of the Universe.

3. Both of these behaviors are caused by consistent inconsistencies and both are required to implement a universe in the only way possible to do so… DIGITALLY!

4. In fact, even if we don’t want them occurring, in the placement of particles into virtual world locations according to a pure math equation, after a certain point of resolution, a certain amount of number truncations is going to occur and these must create an inconsistent density.

IT’S A SURE THING!! In fact, if you really, really think about it, IT CANNOT BE OTHERWISE!!!

Coming up next, stealing my own show about Radiation

Coming up next is my description of Radiation, but I’m gonna’ go right ahead and steal my own show right now and save you from having to read the lengthy and somewhat dry chapter.

The bottom line on Radiation is that it behaves as though it were a stream of particles emanating away from a source. Since Marty has already shown that entities such as these have no mass,46 these “streams of potential particles” do not affect anything else in the Universe by virtue of Newton’s’ laws.

However, they are effected by mass, and that is why light appears to curve around large masses. Another pure implementation of Newton’s law, PERIOD!!!

We DON’T NEED any fancy conceptions of “a curvature in space in the fourth dimension around large masses” to explain it any more at all do we? It is as simple and straightforward as it sounds.

Well it is on the surface. It turns out Radiation has some really unique properties and this uniqueness itself leads to a whole set of discussions about being able to define what happens throughout the lifespan of a Universe as a list of steps, or a set of instructions, or as a set of equations, or perhaps, yes, yes, yes, describing it as only ONE SIMPLE EQUATION!!!

*Crossing the Bridge Between Newton and Einstein

In the discussions above about assigning mass to atoms as they’re created, I’ve shown one side of the bridge between Newtonian physics and Relativity:

Energy is created at the same time mass is created. Matter does not come from energy at all as Einstein’s laws imply.

And now, the other side of this bridge is explained in the discussions about radiation:

Radiation has no mass, but is effected by masses, and that explains why light curves around them. It does NOT occur due to a curvature in fourth dimension space as Einstein’s laws imply.

*An Instant Revelation About the Speed of Light

At this juncture, with all that we have discussed, I will now shock you again! This time, not so much by what I have to say, but by the fact that I can now say one small paragraph and it will make an instant dramatic revelation in your head. Ready?

Why is there a speed of light at all? If the Universe were truly continuous there would be NO RESTRICTIONS at all. The fact that there is a speed of light proves that the are finite limitations imposed by the universe, and enforces everything I’m ranting about in yet another way. Not only that, the fact that it appears the speed of light is consistent everywhere, and has always been consistent throughout the changing landscape of the Universe, implies that it is not affected by amount of the contents of the Universe, nor the present state of that contents at any time in history. And so if it is a restriction, it is not a restriction based upon any limitation or availability of resources, it’s a restriction caused by a fundamental rule being imposed upon the behavior of matter. Its as though the speed of the U. was determined and locked in before the big bang occurred, and has remained constant regardless of how much matter and/or energy the U. contains, or what ratios these supposed two forms of existence are in at any given moment.

An instant revelation! Was I right?

Radiation

Our perception of the way radiation behaves leads us to describe it as waves of energy that propagate outwards in all directions.47 I’m going to try looking at it from a different point of view48 and define radiation as a behavior. Mood swings are behaviors, but they’re subjective, hard to exactly grasp. The book states in a humorous antidote that “All things flow, Grasshopper”. In Marty’s world, radiation is made of flow.

Since Marty lives in a REAL ACTUAL SCIENTIFIC world, I will precisely define the behavior of radiation.

Radiation Has Zero Mass

I stated above that only fused atoms are assigned mass, and everything else has no mass and thus cannot effect anything else by way of gravity. This includes radiation… it has no mass.

However, I do believe that mass can effect radiation! For example, I believe that the gravity generated by a large mass affects radiation, and that explains why light is bent by large masses.

Marty’s World Radiation

Whether it is an actually flow of particles49, or it winds up just being the potential pathways that particles would have needed to flow, doesn’t really matter; the idea is that a flow can be implemented as:

The potential of effecting the next positional sequences about to be calculated.

So all we need to do is approach it from a mathematical point of view:

We just need to state how we want radiation to behave and add it directly into the equations that calculate next positions.

This sounds like a new approach, changing the functions on the fly, however, it’s just a matter of some spiffy programming is all, and we can call them DYNAMICALLY IMPLEMENTED FUNCTIONS!!!

Thus, we don’t need to invent photons or the like: And at this point I might start beating another horse to death, but need to repeat it again and again: Radiation doesn’t have to actually exist… it is just the potential for changes built into the calculations.

Radiation Events

Each behavior is created as a “radiation Event”, consisting of:

1. A single location in the U from which the event emanates

2. An energy level associated with it

3. A frequency associated with it

4. A starting time (when the light is turned on)

5. A duration (how long the light remains on)

Before we provide examples of Radiation Events let’s discuss the concept of propagation.

Propagation

A wave is an example of propagation, which we visualize as something moving along a continuous ethereal medium, such as water. In this conceptualization, we understand that the wave itself doesn’t contain any matter, it’s simply the effect the wave has upon the water. In this example, water is called the medium through which the wave flows.

Deeper examination reveals that waves that move through physical mediums like air and water do so by pushing molecules into one another, causing a chain of physical events to happen. Fair enough.

But what about radio waves that travel through space where there is no matter? Is there some kind of dark matter that nobody can see, always there ready in case a radio wave needs to be sent to Alpha-Centaury?

Propagation Through a Digital Universe

In a digital Universe, we don’t need any dark matter to propagate waves for reasons that should be apparent by now50. We can easily envision the grid locations (that potentially could, but not necessarily do contain particles), functioning like an invisible fabric through which we can send virtual waves through.

We will now call this fabric a digital medium.

In our example universes this is really simple to visualize. To demonstrate this, let’s start out with a 1-D Universe, very, very much like M7P1DPOU, very much like it, indeed, yes, in fact let’s actually start out with M7P1DPOU!51

The Tricky Part

The above depiction of the set of states showing this radiation event actually describes an event with a duration of only ONE TICK!

Why? Because “particles” a and b are “created” only at tick 100. At tick 101, they move outward, but no new particles are shown emanating from the same location that created a and b, namely location 11.

An important point needs repeating; radiation events can be described not as points being moved around like a and b, but by where a and b could potentially go. Sorry horse, this is important!

To clarify this distinction, let’s call the pathway a particle could have taken an effective wave particle.

Step by Step Progression of the 2 Tick Stream

1 The flow began during frame 100 by “creating” effective wave particles A1 and B1 at location 11.

2 At frame 101, A1 and B1 have moved away at the speed of light in this U, which is 1 frame per tick. Meanwhile, effective wave particles A2 and B2 are created at location 11

3 At frame 102, no more effective wave particles are produced, but the ones that already were continue moving away.

Where do all of these “Effective Wave Particles” go?

They continue indefinitely, meaning they continue until the end of the Universe, which is located exactly at the maximum location allowed by the word length of the computer making the calculations. In a digital Universe, there must be a realistic limit of its size… there must be an “end of the Universe”.

*Real World Analogies

The same thing goes in our real Universe as well. Light keeps on going on and on, and there’s nothing whatsoever to stop it.

Remember pointing a flashlight up at the night sky when you were a youngster, and wondering where the light all went to? How far it could go? I certainly do remember, and I also remember asking myself how that tiny little flashlight had the power to hurl light across the Universe?

Have you ever wondered the same thing?

Ok, we can both agree why we don’t see all the flashlights in the Universe because of the scattering that occurs over distances. But the amount of energy required to send a beam of light that far is a whole other story. Science is fuzzy on this matter, and it nearly drove poor old Albert Einstein insane wondering about it.

Do you see how easily possible it is with Marty’s simple model of the Universe? Is our Universe realistic? I say YES, as revealed in this document

What’s missing?

The energy level and the frequency are not accounted for. How can we realistically integrate the concepts of energy level and frequency in our implementation of radiation in M7P1DPOU? Lets try so stuff out and see what works:

Imagine a particle starting again at location 2, but this time is it jumps to location 4, then 6, then 8,… you get the picture. Another might jump by 3 locations each time. Can radiation actually work at different speeds like this? Can we use these varying speeds to represent varying degrees of energy or frequency?

No, well, at least it doesn’t look that way. Yet.

In our observations, ALL radiation moves at the same speed, the SPEED OF PROPOGATION, which is the speed of light in our Universe. So we must jump from location to location at the same rate, regardless of the frequency attribute or the energy level attribute. And yet we know that they are real parts of the observation of radiation, so we need to accommodate them in another way.

Marty has a suggestion to answer this shown below.

Basically, we discuss traversing through a plane, on a straight line, at first, but then on an angle. Because it’s an x, y grid, the particle has to do some zigzagging. At 45 degrees, it zigzags every other x. The discussion then suggests that frequencies get established by the switching back and fourth through the zigzags and the number of dimensions increases…Also discussed are frequency filters that work by blocking some of the zigzag patterns that develop.

What’s next?

The number of particles used limits the number of numerical combinations that can result. I only came up with 2 kinds of atoms using 7 particles, but this increases as the number of particles increase because there are more places (zones) along the line where these locations (integer numbers) might wind up being close to each other.

I’m using prime numbers for motion, but I’m also using them as the count of universal objects. Next, I’ll try 11 then 13 objects, and so on. I expect to discover more and more as I reveal what gets created as the count increases.

Also, the number of dimensions used changes this as well.

My accompanying program, Octopus_2 is maturing and I’m adding parameterizations that will allow simple experimentation with various combinations of Universe size, granularity, particle count, number of dimensions, etc..

This should then provide a MODEL for what happens during Universe creations, and inferences should be legitimately drawn about what occurs when you get really high up into those primes.

*This is a work in progress, but here are PREDICTIONS

What will examination of the model reveal? Here are my predictions:

-The behaviors of masses of “virtually created matter” will be identical to what we observe in our universe.

-These behaviors will closely follow Newton’s laws and anyone who understands basic calculus can easily understand why; purely the result of summarizing the effects of individual particle-to-particle relationships… pure mathematics. There’s absolutely nothing magic going on here. Its just another way of adding numbers.

-HOWEVER, and as any calculus nut knows, those are approximations, and only accurate down to a certain precision…. A certain granularity…

-HERE IS MY NEW VOODO, AND IT IS POWERFUL!!

-For any given a known level of granularity, calculations made will show a predictable amount of skewing. This is very simply due to DIGITAL ROUNDING OFF OF CALCULATIONS REQUIRED for the level of precision used.

-I say if it must be digital, thus there MUST be skewing.

This explains the clumping of matter that occurs in our U., and why our Universe is composed of separate galaxies, each containing heavenly bodies that behave as they do. Once the matter is clumped, Newton’s simple laws of gravity work exactly as described on matter, causing solar systems to form with all of their component planets spinning in concert with each other. And it also works upon “particles” that make up light and radiation. But the light and radiation don’t effect anything because they have a zero mass. And that’s why light bends around huge masses, not because of “curved space”.

-I also suggest that mass is assigned to matter as it is created, and that is where the energy comes from, rather than suggesting that energy is another form of matter itself.

This fills the gaps between Newton and Einstein in a way that is BLINDINGLY SIMPLE!!!

Prove that the physical behaviors we observe and make “laws” about will result implicitly, without any additional programming, from the very simple wave that creates a virtual world. For example, the geometry of elements and compounds; I want to show that these result implicitly from a very simple relation between all of the particles in a universe.

It will become obvious that simple arithmetic summations of relationships acting between particles moves matter around in masses exactly the way the Newton’s Laws dictate.

*What am I Trying to Prove?

I want to prove that there is really only one simple UNIIFYING FORCE in the Universe and it clearly and simply explains MATHEMATICALLY exactly how ALL of our perceived “forces” actually all work TOGETHER.

*The Cart Needs to Stop Pulling the Horse

I not sure I can explain this clearly, but here’s a try. We observe the behavior of matter and make 2 instant conclusions:

1) The behavior is predictable, and a model of it can be established.2) That model will function perfectly in any situation, no matter what.

It’s as simple as it sounds. However, lets look a bit deeper.

Newton’s laws of physics seem to work only up until a point, when other laws need to be introduced. This certainly occurs on both Quantum and Universal levels. Simple examples include what happens when matter starts moving very fast.

Scientists are quick to spring into action and create new models to accommodate every little quirk and twist we observe.

I’m suggesting a very simple formula, when implemented in a very simple way, will be discovered to be correct and verifiable, and IT will be the one and only explanation for everything we observe.

*What if?

What if I can come up with a simple formula that shows how every element forms according to a mathematical progression derived by the spatial relationships that get implicitly introduced in a visualized aspect of a digital Universe?53

And what if all of the numbers work out and reinforce everything (atomic numbers, atomic masses, atomic geometry, predicted chemical reaction, grid size, speed of light, count of universal particles, calculation word sizes, etc.).

After you get dazzled by it, then, you might wonder what it really means, and what it proves.

If you read my book, I make some outrageous statements, one of them being that there is no force or energy in our universe at all! That what we perceive to be force and energy are really the manifestation of the movements caused by the Algorithm, and NOTHING MORE!!!

If you just PLEASE stop and think about it for a minute you will see my point of view. Because when it comes down to it, that’s really what it’s all about: Point of View!!

You jump up and say “It pushing the ball, moron”!

Well, I disagree!! THE BALL IS GETTING PLACED!!!

The computer algorithm that makes the next position calculations places it. Not the bat. Not the wrist. Not the arm.

The “ENERGY” to move the ball CAMES ONLY FROM THE COMPUTER!!!! No “energy” is stored in the batter’s muscles. No energy is stored in our universe at all!!! There is NO SUCH THING AS FORCE!!!

We DON’T NEED to invent any more “forms of energy”, “sub-atomic particles”, “String theories”, “Dark Energy”, etc. etc. etc…. All of these theories are mans way of trying to get a handle on what’s really going on.

All of these theories are the EFFECT of what is REALLY at the heart of matters: These theories don’t move matter around, the observed motion of matter makes man create them!!! We NEED to put the cart BEHIND the horse and let it run!!!!

I have this all working in Octopus_2 right now, but to make these changes worth their salt, I need to be able to make Octopus_2 run any kind of FORMULA within the context of these defined parameters.

My next enhancement will allow the architect to insert VB code into the programs loop processing. Doing so will allow very rapid testing to occur without requiring code changes.

I need to then try all kinds of combinations and see what pops out.55

*Quest for Parameters

I’m thinking that this will somehow lead me to determine the exact parameters required to be used in our own U. as values in order to get it to function the way it does, and this includes the “word size” discussion I had as well.

If the values of these determined parameters then match what we actually observe in our U., does this prove anything?56

But seriously, it adds more ammunition to the argument that the world is purely digital and moved by mathematics, and this gives credibility to the concept that we cant tell the difference between a virtual world and a real one.

Its looking more and more every day that this is the case57, I don’t know why nobody is really grasping on to the concept and spending some money on computer research to prove it and then harvest the benefits this knowledge will certainly provide.

*What Would Happen?

If we figured out the simple formula, it would revolutionize science as we know it. The book elaborates on and on about it. And although this paper is supposed to remain strictly scientific, I believe it not un-scientific to reveal these predictions.

Where Are We Going?

Because of this visually observed expansion, and because of a lot of other evidence (mostly introduced by Dr Hubble), we now believe that our galaxy is moving away from the center of the U.

How Is Our Planet Oriented Towards The Center Of The Universe?

First off, our galaxy has its own frame of orientation. Consider it like a big spinning platter; within our galaxy, we can locate our relative position within the platter regardless of the relative position the platter has with the rest of the Universe.

Next, this also applies to the orientation of our solar system within our galaxy, and then finally, this also applies to our orientation upon our planet.

Finding The Center Of The U.

To someone sitting still and peacefully reading this wonderful paper at a cyber-café in Ecuador, the world is actually spinning underneath your feet at about (26,000 / 24) miles per hour, the Earth is spinning around the Sun at about (16 million * pi * 24 / 365) miles per hour, the Sun is in some kind of wide rotation pattern within our Galaxy, and our Galaxy is spinning around and also moving away from the center of the Universe, all at the same time!

Finding the center of the U. is kind of like trying to figure out exactly where the nearest rest room is at the instant you’re performing some kind of a bizarre blind folded and inverted athletic maneuver inside of an active and out-of-control twirl-la-whirl that’s tumbling down the side of a mountain.

Assumption: Using The Digital Grid As A Transport Conduit

I am assuming that the grid itself can be thought of as a highway used by various entities as a transportation conduit, and this includes electrostatic flow.

Now, don’t forget, this is a DIGITAL UNIVERSE… there is NOTHING in between the framework of the grid; only the virtual locations at the corners of each sub-cube that delineate the smallest possible spatial locations exist at all, and then they only exist as possible locations pointed to by numbers in a data table.

However, to us, the characters who live in the virtual inner Universe, the grid is real, it is stationary, it is rock solid, and it is eternal.

Bolts!

OK. Now, suppose we shoot a bolt of lightning between two stationary cathodes, say about one foot apart:

Is The Bolt Straight? WHY NOT ???

Look at the bolt in the above photo. Does the bolt travel straight between the two cathodes? WHY NOT? If the Universe were continuous, it should flow smoothly and cleanly on a perfectly straight line directly between them, right? Then why not, if the Universe is really continuous, WHY THE HECK NOT????

Look at the bolt on the side of BOLT The Wonder Dog. Ask anyone to draw you a picture of a lightning bolt.

What is everyone’s conception of a bolt of lightning? Like this:

Question: Doesn’t it look as though those bolts of lightning that everyone envisions are always zigzagging their way through a DIGITAL MEDIUM? Answer: Hell YES, it does!!!

(The obvious) answer to why this bolt isn’t straight: Because it’s NOT flowing through an ethereal sheet of fictitious space-time continuum, IT’S TRAVERSING THE FABRIC OF THE DIGITAL MEDIUM THAT OUR UNIVERSE MUST ACTUALLY CONSISTS OF, THAT’S WHY!!!

In other words, it’s doing something that it's required to do in an existence that is actually achievable. That's why!!

Universal Map Locator: The Bolt Invention

OK, now here is what I’m thinking for Bolt. We take very high speed photos of a couple of bolts shot between cathode gaps aligned in a couple of different directions. Each bolt will traverse through the grid taking the shortest possible path.

But the thing is that we are not stationery like the Universal grid is. We are the ones spinning and gyrating around within our planetary, solar, sub-galactic and galactic patterns of motion.

And so, what we’re really interpreting from the changing digital patterns seen in the high-speed photos, is us moving through the stationary grid from moment to moment, or, more accurately, we’re seeing the exact path these sets of cathode points take as they move through the grid.

The Road Map Tools

Can you see where I’m going with this? I’m thinking that the grid itself can function as a stationary road map, and we can light up this road map and identify which parts we’re flying through simply by examining and comparing the changes in the shapes and angles of bolts of lightning from moment to moment.

Using two or more bolts simultaneously might then provide a way to triangulate and map out our exact position relative to the center of the Universe. The Universe Map Locator is thus a fairly simple tool to build and operate, compared to a cyclotron, or a satellite, don’t you agree? And perhaps, this tool can tell us even more.

More Than A Tool?

Remember our quest for parameters? One of the most important unknowns is Grid Size. Lets think about the implications of finding the fixed Universe grid, and then work from that point forward to try and determine the grid size.

If we were somehow moving stationary relative to the Universe grid, we could easily align the cathode gap to be parallel with one of the 3-D orientations by zeroing in on it with a few test sparks. Once aligned, we should be able to send a spark between the two cathodes and it should traverse the gap as straight and direct as an arrow!

Now, it may not be possible to position our equipment in such a way as to move stationary with the grid for very long, due to our gyrating patterns of motion here on Earth; I can envision that after 14.7 billion years, these patterns of motion must be sweeping us over the grid at extreme speeds and at obscure angles that seem to change inconsistently from one moment to the next.

However, that is a benchmark I think we should be trying to achieve ... to be able to re-create conditions under which bolts of electricity travel straighter (or re-create bolts of any kind of predictable shape patterns). An even greater achievement is being able to understand how these conditions make reproducible bolts occur.

Comparing Characteristics Of Bolts

Could it have anything to do with the length of the gap, or the duration or intensity of the pulse? What about the orientation of the gap? How about the effects of temperature, radiation, magnetism, etc.?  Well, I'm sure that magnetism effects it, as well as most of these factors. However, what I'm looking for isn't so much the battered condition of the ships, I'm looking for the secret currents in which these battered ships sail like the wind.

Could it be because of a certain time of day, a certain position of the Earth and/or other heavenly bodies? Do similar patterns develop annually in the same places? Annually in different places? How about similar patterns developing when firing off multiple bolts at the same time but in different places? How about multiple bolts in multiple locations but fired in a quick sequence that also correlates with location? The idea being to try to capture a zone in which a predictable bolt signature sweeps along in a certain direction.

Taking Mohamed To The Mountain!

And of course, how's about trying to develop consistent patterns by taking Mohamed to the mountain... by mounting the cathode points on a mobile fixture and performing all of the above studies while the cathode gap is in motion relative to the Earth.

The idea here is to figure out what our gyrating pattern of motion on Earth is relative to the fixed Universal grid, and then be able to fly some kind of craft in a counter-pattern that would position it stationary with the grid. From there, it could be aligned to be parallel with one of the grid’s dimensions and straight sparks should start to fly!

Permutations and Correlations

All of these studies need to be tightly correlated with astronomy data in a grand effort to locate the center of the U. In this respect, the bolt analysis efforts not only become like another set of telescopic eyes providing yet another alternative approach to examining our Universe, but it also serves as proof for many of the theories I'm trying to prove as well.

My hope, as always, is to use knowledge as proof and reinforcement, working toward the goal of discovering a single, simple equation by which our universe runs. Am I asking too much?

Examining Bolts For Physical Characteristics

And so, next we should discuss how we can try to analyze the bolt patterns created in these cathode gaps and categorize what we observe. Lets say we get one like this:

We can say the following about this particular bolt: 

1. It is contiguous across its entire length.

2. It is a total of 50 “x marks” long.

3. It has 4 levels of lateral position.

4. It is composed of elemental segments, each exactly 5 "X marks" long.

5. There are a total of 10 of these elemental segments.

6. The elemental segments are used either individually or in conjunction with others to make up the segments that can be visually discerned from one another by virtue of taking on a different lateral position.

7. The bolt is composed of 6 of these visually discernable sub-segments.

8.  The pattern of usage of the 10 elemental segments making up the 6 sub-segments is:

1   2   3   4   5   6

1 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 1 – 2

9. The pattern of lateral positions for the 6 sub-segments is:

1   2   3   4   5   6

0 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 2 – 1

All of these attributes of bolts can be used to compare one to the next for patterns of similarity, and a whole lot more.

Conclusions We Can Draw From The Characteristics Observed

Alright, now, if the 2 cathodes that produced this bolt were aligned perfectly parallel with the grid, this bolt would have been straight. Since it’s not, we’re gonna conclude that: 

1.      As the bolt was traversing between cathodes, the cathode gap must have been moving through the stationary grid, forcing the bolt to have to zigzag onto different grid links 5 different times in order to complete the circuit.

 2.      This movement of the cathode gap across the various links in the framework of the

grid must have occurred faster than the speed it took to complete the circuit for the duration of the flow of electrons that were sent between cathodes.

 And now, maybe you can understand why I believe that these studies can reveal a lot more than just your absolute location within the Universe. It may uncover things like:

1. How fast was the cathode gap moving through the grid?

2. What angle was the cathode pair passing through the grid at moment these sub-segments got created?

3. Can we determine a repeatable pattern in any way?

4. Etc..

The Future Looks Bright

Obviously, I would like to see these studies be used to help come up with the exact parameters and algorithms that run our universe. It certainly looks like these spark gap studies might reveal the grid size parameter from all of the data we might gather.

Doesn’t this all look promising? And, this is all done independent of what I’m calling architectural sequencing. I think it’s a good foot in the door. Lets get to it! Time is a wasting away. Lets do some research and try to figure it all out!

Unifying Principles

Philosophy, not really science. But not religion either. A nice way to close.

*If Statements

Any programmer can interrupt a program, make dynamic changes to the running states, and allow it to continue. “Divine Intervention”, as the book calls it, is not required, and can have dramatic chaotic 58 effects on subsequent states a program executes. If made, these changes direct the program to a new course of action that (most likely) could not have been encountered without the alterations.59

Any changes may effect the otherwise “Natural outcome”60 predicted by the formula. In our case, as our program progresses, we create a naturally evolving virtual universe with a pre-determined course of action. If we really wanted to we could say, “after 23,000,000 ticks, change the state of particle 777 so its speed is 5,000 rather than 10,000. Make it so!!!”

How would that effect the program? Ok, lets give it some purpose, lets say that it represents a bullet and you want to slow it down just a bit so as to miss JFK. OK, what would happen next, Albert? From that point on, the actions of this simple alteration would revel themselves as having defied the “Laws of Nature”!

In our Universe, we wouldn’t “see it happen” because of the digital nature of the way changes are perceived61. However, I’m thinking it would leave behind some evidence as well. For example the sound wave from this particular gunshot would arrive a bit sooner than the bullet.

*Implications of not finding any If Statements:

Lets Review:

If we look at the path of a flying lizard, we only need to measure a few distances at a few known points in time, and can reverse-engineer that back into a trajectory, and thus determine the exact location and time the lizard was flung, exactly where its going, and when it will make impact62.

Am I making this up, or is this real physics?’

In the exact same way, we have observed our Universe and right now we’re in the process of figuring out exactly where the big bang was located, when it occurred, where were all heading and when we’re expected to get there.

I’m not trying to debate what will happen in our Universe, though. My point is that we figured out how to determine a trajectory and once we figured it out, we have never ever seen any situation where that law didn’t work.

We then applied that law to our observations of the motions of our universe and as expected, were not finding anything unexpected. There are no “If statements”, no apple shaped evidence of miss-flung boulders from the Arm of Dave.

And yet, LOOK AT HOW COMPLEX our Universe can potentially be! Look at the Mona Lisa, created by Leonardo, the son of a long line of species that evolved from a long and complex set of events that can be traced right back to the big bang just as certain as a ballistic study of the trajectory of our flying lizard.

In the book, I pose a question, “How can such a complex thing as this arise by a set of coincidences”? Answer: “Because it can”. In this paper, we stick to science, so instead of imposing religion by way of using terms like “intelligent design”, lets approach it by simply stating the facts:

1. Every motion we observe follows a very simple set of “laws of motion”.

2. What we observe, apparently is the direct (because we see no “Ifs”) result of the big bang 13.7 B years ago63.

3. A lot has happened since the big bang, and yet there it is, sitting in a museum somewhere in France, the Mona Lisa in all her glory.

Thus, a simple formula (at least one not requiring any “Ifs”) has yielded extremely complex results, all by itself.

*Just Wondering…

If this were a digital universe created by a computer programmer, which of these 2 scenarios is more realistic?

1. He’s so smart, he can envision what he wants the Mona Lisa to look like, then he creates the big bang using perhaps a complex formula that will exactly and precisely create Mona after 13.7 B of sequential numeric processing without needing any intervention, interruptions or re-directions. And, he nails it on his very first try. (Wow!)

2. He’s a realistic person with realistic intelligence, who can write some simple code, and then observe what pops out after 13.7 B of processing.

That second scenario programmer dude wouldn’t even have to know what to expect; Mona popping out would be a nice surprise. But if he did have an idea of what he wanted Mona to look like, and if he just kept trying a bunch of formulas and parameters, how long would it take him to do it? Would it be impossible or possible?

Just wondering…

In Any Case

Whether my postulations are correct or not, the universe appears to follow a simple pattern of expansion that can be described by a simple formula consisting of a set of steps, or a list of instructions.64

Analysis of “Historical Religious” Interpretations

THIS CHAPTER ELABORATES but stays scientific!

I keep getting the creeps from analogies between my scientific approach and the vague subjective gibberish many popular passages of scripture contain. Lets take this up to the 10,000 ft level and try to look at the whole picture for another point of view.

I am NOT a genius, I’m a typical dude with average intelligence. I thought this stuff up ENTIRELY ON MY OWN with no help from anyone else. I just reasoned it all out, using my background. My point: ANYONE can think this stuff up, discover the model and prove it by demonstrating that our universe exactly follows it. It’s pretty easy, not rocket science.

Now, if I wrote this all down in a notebook, and called it “How to create our Universe” it would read like:

1. “First, make up two sets of objects…”2. “Assign them attributes…”3. “Apply processing in digital sequences …”4. “Add Radiation functions…”5. Etc…

It would read like the simple, yet powerful, list of instructions that it really is.

The Notebook

THIS FINAL CHAPTER is pure speculation

If this notebook were published, that would be a cool way of trying to propagate the information down the line, just like we do for math and physics formulas. But this wouldn’t just be scientific, it would contain the formula that represents life itself, and as such, really special… perhaps it would be worshiped. This is not a delusion, just realistic speculation.

And why wouldn’t civilizations try to immortalize it in words and in song. And why wouldn’t they find ways to express the formula graphically in symbols and represent it geometrically in structures and statues... can you see where I’m going with this?

The simple list of instructions might be expressed in the layout of Stonehenge or the Pyramids at Giza, or maybe written in hieroglyphics or ancient scrolls. Lost in translation, maybe the formula starts looking like passages from genesis.

Note_BBF_1: Compression of all Matter Into a Single Location

Compression of all matter in the Universe into the single point size location it supposedly occupied at the moment of the Big Bang. OK, how was that physically done?

This alone proves what I’m saying because it is physically impossible without virtual definitions! Scientists can invent a boatload of Dark Energy or the like to try to get matter compressed like this, but think about the logistics involved and also think about where the dark energy resides while this supposedly takes place. Right next to St. Peter, right? Duh! Dark energy is another example of something science invented to account for what is observed.

What if the U. as we know it was really created by an invention… a “Universal Universe Maker_V23,000”. It uses synthetically created dark energy to enclose a sphere that contains a wad of plasma. The machine bumps up the force of this dark energy, compressing the plasma into a point-size area (as if that could ever be done in a non-virtual world, yet offering another proof of my postulations), and then suddenly releases the pressure by cutting way down on the force exerted by the dark energy, causing the compressed plasma to explode exactly like the big bang, with all of the same symmetry and acceleration.

A well-oiled machine like this could pump out a dozen or so U.’s a minute! I’m gonna’ apply for the patent on one of these babies in right now.

My point here: Without doing this virtually, using logical definitions, I don’t see how its possible for the Universe to ever get into that state of compression.

This builds upon our recent discoveries about the zero size of quarks. Both of these concepts point in the direction of a virtual, not physical implementation of the Universe.

Note_BBF_2: Representing a 3-D Universe Using Only 1-Dimension Numerical Representations

The number of dimensions used can be set to any positive integer number. I’m using only 1 dimension in my example Universes.

Admittedly I ‘m having trouble right now figuring out how the 3-D spatial relationships that seem to be required to make the various bonds known to exist in organic chemicals be brought fourth from a simpler 1-D definition. I stated it for some reason in my book as though I knew it for fact. But the reason for that was to show a simple translation between the Algorithm and a pure mathematical wave.

The point: Maybe we really do need 3 dimensions to make our U. work, but I can still describe the entire scenario using only 1 and that’s what I’m doing here.

Understanding this is crucial to the goals of this paper, so I will make this very clear67. This is very simple math, don’t be afraid of it!!

Remember the millennia bug? It was supposed to cripple civilization because computers wouldn’t know the difference between 1900 and 2000.68 It’s a great example to show how Word Size limits what can be Addressed.

With 2 digits, only the numbers 0 – 99 can be addressed. My birthday, 01-16-53, is ambiguous…. Maybe I was born in 1853. If I said my birthday was 01-16-1953, it wouldn’t be AS ambiguous.

Shown as 01-16-53, is using 2 digits of notation , 01-16-1953 uses 4 digits of notation.

We call the use of varying lengths of notation to define addresses:

Addressing

2 digits of “addressing” gives you an address range of 0 – 99 years. 4 digit addressing gives you a range of 0 – 9,999 years.

Word size limits the address range capable. These exact same limitations occur in abacuses, in desktop mechanical adding machines, in hand-held calculators, and of course, in computers.

Computers are ALL ABOUT word size. That’s what the 32 means when they sell you a 32-bit Pentium. The only difference is that while we use digits to denote dates and Social Security numbers69, computer addressing is done with binary arithmetic70 , so instead of using digits, we use bits.

Now that you passed geek school, lets apply this to our discussions about the Universe in an example. There will not be a test, so relax…

Alright, since we don’t want to waste an infinite amount of time creating a Universe that can go on for infinity when we only need to use, say, 1000 locations, lets limit the maximum location number allowed to 1000.

For the number 1000, we only need a computer with an address capacity of 10 bits (see the above table). If we want a Universe that can go on for 10- Gazzillion locations, we need a computer with appropriate addressing capacity.

But here’s the cool part, and it should be obvious at a glace… address capacity increases exponentially compared to the word size needed to address it. In the cheap computer you can get down at the local Wal-Mart, you can create a Universe that goes a long, long way.

There’s a nice assignment for a student of computer systems modeling on a budget. And while you’re at it, make the simple correlations between what happens in quantum mechanics work by figuring out the right set of parameters and tweaking Octopus_2. Childs play? No.

Note_BBF_5: Comments on Pseudo-code for a run of the Universe

 1. Every calculation is done using finite integer numbers as input, and all outputs are

rounded off to be integers. I.E., if the next speed of “particle #10” is 13.333333…, the result is rounded off to 13. For next locations, rounding the XYZ coordinates off into integers “snaps” the object into the nearest grid location.

 2. The use of 2 sets allows precise calculation of the next position of every particle

in the Universe without being disturbed by intermediate movements whilst these calculations are being made. This is key; it provides a stable environment in which precise sequences of events occur, hence, perfect reproducibility.

After all of the next positions are calculated and stored into the alternate set, all of the particles in the U. get “moved” at the very same instant simply by changing the alternate set into the current set. This implements a discrete “grain of time”, thus causing the Universe to “tick”. This occurs in the program each time when the code statement

CurrentSet = NextSet (CurrentSet)

is executed in the running program. This is what we feel as we experience time pass. Creepy, isn’t it?

 3. While the finite sizes of the X, Y, and Z coordinates for an object limit the size of

the Universe, we don’t need to keep track of what may or may not be in each individual grid position; we only keep track of these positions for the objects we have in our set. See the further discussions below on this; maybe there are only a few particles darting all over the virtual Universe, and perhaps more than 2 sets are used.

 4. The DetermineNext function considers things like grid locations containing

multiple objects, the speed of all other objects within certain proximities to the object being considered, etc. Determination of the next state of the U. only depends on its present state. If all of the particles in the U. somehow get into the same set of states it was in the past, it would just keep going, unaware of the fact that it is now looping through the same set of state changes as before. This would continue indefinitely, were it not for the Done flag being set to True in the DetermineNext routine.

1. In this example, we are only moving the particle along the X-axis, and always away from the center of the Universe. We are also simply setting its next speed using only the PrimeDentity. It is a very crude and simple implementation, but it works.

 2. We could do all kinds of things in this code to make the Universe dance, sing, sit

up and bark like a dog. For example, we could have considered the number of co-occupying particles, and use it as an exponential factor in calculating each particle’s next speed and location, thus asserting the influence of all the other particles sharing the position. Ka – BOOM!!!

 3. The first particle in a set of particles sharing the same position is treated different

from the others; it is used as the DirectionObject in the vectors for all of the other co-occupying particles. Since no particle can act as its own DirectionObject, its DirectionObject value is set to NULL and its speed set to 0. This is also done to implement the laws of relativity.

 4. Not shown are the QuantumLeep routines for Quantum mechanics, and the

NewtonMotion routines for classical Newtonian physics and relativity. Ready?Go! The routine for Quantum mechanics looks for clusters of particles within certain proximities of others. It then keeps these particles close by locking them all into a tight arrangement, thus making up the various sub-atomic structures for all of the elements in our U. All of the PrimeDentities are re-assigned starting from 1 relative to the other particles in the cluster, and all of the vectors are duplicated, making the entire atom behave as one mega-particle, when considered for Newtonian motion. Once locked in, the cluster no longer remains eligible for Nuclear or Quantum forces; subsequent moves are then calculated simply by moving the whole atom around according to its vector, and thus, the Newtonian laws of physics occur. By using another object as a relative reference for speeds (rather than the center of the U.), and limiting each particle’s next speed to a maximum of c (the speed of light), Newtonian motion also obeys the laws of relativity. Chemical reactions can then subsequently occur by virtue of collisions between atoms, due to the introduction of external particles into the close proximities of each cluster, or, much more rarely, into shared grid positions causing subsequent nuclear reactions. Not bad for one paragraph, eh?

First of all, Energy is actually a measurement of the magnitude of the potential to move matter from one place to the next.

What we observe to be “Force” is simply the manifestation of changes in the positions and vectors of particles as the Universe ticks off grains of time. Period! In other words, Force only comes from the computer that’s running the show, its not part of the show itself.

I still use the term “Force” because that’s how we describe and quantify what we see when observing changes in the position of matter. But just to be clear about it, Force does not come from matter, nor is it stored in anywhere or any way in our Universe.

Force is really the computer algorithm used by the big box the runs the U. Isn’t that a lot less confusing? To me, this is a bone-chilling revelation.

Architectural Sequences

Axis’s of Evil?

In my technical description and pseudo code, I stated that I only described the location of a particle in the Universe in 3-D, just to make is easy to visualize. In the actual code, I only use the X-axis to define a particle’s location; I didn’t even use Y or Z-axis’s at all.

Its not that they are axis’s of evil, its just that we really don’t need them.

I don’t know if you can understand this without being able to see it in 3-d, but my simple model of the Universe can really work just like this. The next position calculations could all simply occur in 1-d space, kind of like a line that is growing. The line is composed of a set of discrete segments, like a ruler with inches delimiting each. Each segment corresponds to a discrete location away from the center of the universe. It’s all done in one-dimensional space, kind of like a simple RISC73 processor functioning to run much more complex instruction sets.

If you really think about it…

If you really think about it, the state of the entire universe at any given moment can be defined simply as a number, and the motion of the universe can be defined simply as a sequence of changing numbers.

If you can figure out exactly which parts of the number changes and when it changes, you can map this to physical changes at an exact place and time in our universe, and you can thus precisely predict the exact sub-atomic behavior of matter. I call this Architectural Sequencing. It’s accomplished similar to the way programmers use memory locations to map to physical or virtual structures74, or the way geneticists map genetic characteristics to certain pieces of DNA sequences.

Breaking the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principal

The current thinking, according to the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle for exactly locating a particle is, it is impossible, because:

1. It is believed that, at best, an area of probability can be established in which a particle might exist.

2. Any attempts to locate a particle “must” fail because it “must” introduce external locator particles which affect the location of the particle being sought.

However, if my theories are correct, using Architectural Sequencing technology (working “from the inside out”), we will soon:

1. Be able to predict exactly where a particle will be at an exact time.

2. Be able to shatter the barriers that make the digitally discrete operations of particles at the quantum level appear to be continuous motions; we will be touch with the actual pulse of our Universe.

And, since we won’t be introducing any external locator particles75, nothing will be “disturbed by examination”.

As a result, we will very quickly gain a complete understanding of the exact motions and paths of these particles, and this new knowledge will then help us forge the tools we need to master the manipulation of matter in a myriad of new and exciting ways.

Harvesting the knowledge… new machines of the future

Once the science of architectural sequencing becomes developed, we will be able to invent new ways to manipulate matter into anything we want. Soon, many new and very useful inventions will be created, harvesting this new knowledge:

Tiny Widgets

We will begin by creating tiny widgets that can be used as physical building blocks. We have already started using carbon nano-tubes for these purposes.

Tiny Tools that build Tiny Machines

Next, we’ll create tiny tools which can then be used to further manipulate tiny widgets, building them into tiny machines so small, they can actually work directly upon motions of particles at the quantum-level.

Tiny Grid-Snap Perpetual Radiant Energy Machine

The first tiny-size machine is a “grid-snap” perpetual radiant energy machine that creates energy from “nothing” by taking advantage of the digital rounding off of calculated next locations to move quantum-level size particles into positions from which various forms of radiant energy can be extracted.

Osmosis-Reel Heat-to-Mechanical Energy Conversion Machine

Marty contends that the phenomenon of osmosis occurs when atoms in close proximity get moved around by the Newtonian laws as the Universe ticks off grains of time. Occasionally the relative position of these atoms makes some of the movements repeat in cycles, like waves splashing back and forth in a small tub. We observe this as the “vibrations” your science teacher blindly told you about. Thus, osmosis results from the ticking of time in our virtual world.

Next, an “osmosis-reel” that latches onto an oscillating structure, and uses the force of motion to move a tiny leaver and spin a tiny reel, pulling a tiny string (like a carbon nano-tube) along, creating huge amounts of mechanical energy from small amounts of heat (which generate the oscillations). These can be used to construct “heat activated synthetic muscles” of unimaginable strength.

I describe human and animal brains as being simulators. Simulators? Is this getting a bit willy-nilly? NO!

An adding machine can be constructed with gears, with fluids and valves, from moving blocks, in the form of abacus. Etc. It is a simple matter of constructing a physical machine that performs calculations by virtue of its shapes and motions.

Within the virtual Universe, matter spring up and forms the cosmos, life springs up, and advanced anatomic structures, including brains, evolve.76

What are brains? They are simply computers. Fancy adding machines with the capacity to store and recall information. Simple and pure, this is accomplished by anatomic structures that can physically perform calculations

A computer simulator is a computer program that behaves as though it’s another computer. It’s beyond the scope of this paper to fully describe that, but the point here is that the simulator “exists” purely within the virtual world of a computer program.

Brains in a virtual world are made of the same “virtual material” they perceive, the same way a simulator program exists within the same virtual world it enacts upon.

Because of this, we can call them simulators, and rightly so.

So anyway, I assign mass to atoms as they’re created by fusion of multiple particles, thus making them real.

Before assigning them any mass, these particles had none (they had to be eligible for fusion, meaning they couldn’t be locked into any arrangement), and they certainly didn’t take up any space, because, for one thing, they don’t exist!

But even if my program required all particles to be assigned to a grid location at all times, which is reasonable, I could make it so they occupy it or even co-occupy it, without affecting anything else. I could do a lot, and yet still keep things simple by just sticking to one simple rule:

Until a particle is assigned mass, it doesn’t affect anything else when making considerations regarding the movement of matter.

And thus, the equations that describe these motions remain pure and simple, operating only on real matter; pre-fused, persistent atoms..

Because of this, I also stated (above) that particles “become real” when they’re assigned mass.

But that doesn’t make them “unreal” in the meanwhile! They are real, of course, we just can’t see them; they’re HIDDEN.

Hidden particles seem to be just freely darting around waiting to be fused into atoms, and there can also be hidden particles there for other reasons, for example, as place markers, as pointers or as flags, or as filler.

I suppose its safe to say that if a hidden particle never affects any other particle, its “unreal”. But these “unreal” particles are, in fact, real to the program. They could have always been around as part of the Universal flow of particles, and still not be detectable as existing. They may or may not effect anything, perhaps required just to be among the stack of all particles, simply to make the program run the way it does. Filler, just to line things up for other particles to fall into the correct places way on down the line, become fused, acquire mass, and become real.

These are the unseen particles, the silent workers, the givers, never the takers. They sacrifice themselves without any recognition for the good of the program as a whole. Free radicals, and yet castaways who are never seen or heard from.

Modern physicists have come up with the need to have such things as antimatter and dark matter. Are these simply gaps that need to be filled by magical conjuring? Apparently so, however, in Marty’s world, these activities are predicted, they make perfect sense, and not magic in operation, they’re really straightforward.

The strange part is that whatever these unaccounted for particles function to do, cannot be distinguished from functions programmed into the algorithms or anything else, occurring underneath it all. Its yet another part of the black box that we must figure out.

But my thing is, instead of inventing black matter and dark energies, lets go back in the other direction,,, finding a simple basic underlying explanation and build outward from there. And when we consider everything, lets not forget to consider those poor, poor particles who get no consideration whatsoever. Perhaps that is their purpose, after all.

Note BBF_11B: The Doorways to Chaos

Programmers know what it means to be running in the ghost state… when a program losses its bearings and runs amuck, executing random instructions in random areas of memory. When we encounter it, well, lets just say it’s not something we’re not proud of. For the program, it’s as close to chaos as it gets.

Here is a quick explanation of how computers operate:

1. Computers are capable of executing a set of instructions, for example, “ADD”, “SUBTRACT”, “MOVE”, etc.

2. These instructions are PROGRAMMED into lists, kind of like sets of steps used, for example, as driving directions to the party store (drive straight 3 blocks, turn right, buy MD-20/2 at drive-through, start drinking, drive back un-straight, etc.), or to the morgue (drive straight 3 miles, turn right, park, ask for room 22, etc.).

3. The computer stores these instruction lists into memory locations, just like it stores data.

4. To run a PROGRAM (a particular list of instructions), the computer needs to LOAD the list of instructions into a free chunck of memory, point to the starting instruction in the list, FETCH it, execute it, fetch the next, …

They really aren’t all that complicated! The computer needs to be careful of where it

Note_BBF_12: E = MC What???

Just an aside here, nobody is really saying exactly where mass suddenly comes from when quarks join up. Of course I’m aware of E=MC² but it doesn’t make any sense in the context it’s presented in.

Is the energy stored within an atom, and released in a stationary position? Or is the energy somehow released by virtue of its relative speed, as the equation implies?

That’s how they describe nuclear reactions … they say the energy results from the sudden acceleration of matter, causing a partial gradient in speeds which the equation then neatly fills as energy being released.

They say partial, because theoretically it would take an infinite amount of energy to actually accelerate even the tiniest bit of matter to the speed of light, so they start talking about partial speeds and what happens as we approach the speed of light.

But then you got to ask, where does light come from if it takes an infinite amount of energy to make it?? And just exactly where is it turned back into matter? And how?

I am not disputing this theory, as far as being useful for calculating how much energy you can get from one pound of fuel. I am, however, suggesting that the mechanisms they ponder upon are both ridiculous and inconsistent.

Scientists now believe that matter came into existence from a point size object, and yet, they insist that it had to be accompanied by a “near-infinite” amount of energy at the same time. Why can’t they consider that as matter was created from nothing, its motion and its mass created energy as well?

I am stating it all simply!! There is no energy contained within our U. at all.

In my description of fusion and creation of atoms, I say, they simply become real by virtue of the algorithm assigning them mass, and then they get moved around by the algorithm, so there’s your energy. And that’s all there is to it.

In other words, there is no magic conversion between matter and energy as the equation suggests. They are separate and for the most part, unrelated entities.

Isn’t that a lot simpler?

“Marty, you called me a hack”.

In programming terms, hacks are lazy jerks who don’t take their time to make the code they work on maintainable. The definition of that is beyond this paper, however, lets just say that these guys do sloppy work.

However, did you know that there are nearly77 an unlimited number of ways to write the same program? The code can look completely different, have unnecessary looping processing that flail and waste time, can drag along a lot of unneeded and/or obsolete data structures, etc. etc.

As is turns out, it doesn’t matter if the code is hacked or perfect. It doesn’t even matter what computer language it’s written in or even if it runs on a computer at all! The exact same sequences can be generated as a set of hand written letters over the course of centuries.

If the numerical sequences generated by whatever methods follow an underlying math equation that’s correct, that’s all that matters. If a program’s functions result in the correct sequence, it is correct regardless of how hacked and inefficient the code may seem.

The point here? Well there’re 3 of them:

1 Whatever means are used to produce the correct sequences, be it a list of hand written instructions or a 10,000 line 8080 assembly language program, if it works it’s right.

2 The common thread is being able to express what the numerical progressions are as a set of math functions. Hopefully, the functions can be reduced down to an uncluttered set of “pure” equations and that means converging upon the simplest way of expressing it.

3 What boggles my mind is whether a sequences has to actually go through the physical act of being processed at all, or if the mere existence of the equation implicitly makes all of the possible states that can result, real.

But that’s not scientific. Is it?

Note BBF_14: What happened during the “Big Bang”?

Scientists have recently tried to figure out what happened during the big bang. I don’t know much about these sciences, but I have heard some suggest that within the first few milliseconds of the big bang, some major changes occurred to an incredibly huge amount of matter, most of which are not possible under any of our understandings of the laws of physics and relativity.

However, in Marty’s simple model of the U., these changes are not only possible, they are predicted by the algorithm for nuclear movement, simply by initializing the location of every particle so they all logically occupy the same position in the first moment of time.

Marty’s Theory on Maximum Particle Motion in the History of the Universe:

During the very first grain of time, the very first movement in the Universe was the biggest single event ever, as far as maximum movement of objects in the history of the Universe.

This is based upon my simple model of the Universe, which uses co-occupation (nuclear force) rules as a first priority in calculating the next positions of all particles. If, as I suspect, the initial state of the Universe was that all particles occupied the exact same position at the same time, this represented the maximum concentration of particles possible.

Any subsequent movements almost certainly have to occur with particles separated from one another, resulting in less overall movement.

Here is the catch…

I said “almost certainly” because it is possible for all of the particles to wind up in the same position sometime in the finite future! This will end time as we know it, and trigger the next big bang. As WILD as that seems, again, lets think it through…

Marty’s Theory on Perpetual Gambling:

My cousin Larry and me often wonder what it would be like to hang around the casino and just play craps forever. One day we’d be up 10 va-va-villion on the house, the next day we’d owe “Vito Gallastoletti” even more in markers and fingers. Depending on our bankroll and the house edge, over a long time statistics will rule the day. Lets face it, Vegas was not built by winners.

Now lets imagine that we have a HUGE bankroll, I mean, like, the entire Universe is gold and we own it. And not only that, let’s say that there is no house edge, so theoretically, we could play forever. BUT, let also imagine that NO MATTER WHAT, THE HOUSE CAN NEVER BUST.

It might take what seems like an eternity for the house to finally win all of our money. However, it is a mathematical certainty that eventually, it MUST occur because infinity always eventually wins over finite.

The Flow of the Universe

My theory on gambling, about the house always eventually wining if it has an infinite bank, can that explain how and why all of the particles in the Universe can eventually wind up in the same place at the same time? Because it is a possible next state, and there is a lot of time to encounter it? Oh, and don’t forget, taking place by design, not by chance, it results from a precisely pre-determined sequence of state changes.

In any case, this allows for multiple big bangs to occur, and addresses another bunch of scientific questions, like how long has time really existed?

Marty’s deduced solutions for a continuously re-cycling Universe:

Using my simple model of the Universe, I’ve deduced some simple solutions to re-cycle the Universe by getting it back to its initial state, whilst answering the questions of infinite space at the same time! In deciding the next position of moving particles using finite numbers, lets consider those particles for which the next position will be located out of the Universe’s finite range; the particles way out near the edge of the Universe…

We can, for example, simply move them back to position zero and then accumulate them until they are all there. This way, the Universe starts in an initial state, runs until its done by virtue of all particles being back in the initial state, and this could be the state that triggers another big bang, thus re-starting the U. ump-teen times over again.

Or, we could just let these re-positioned particles continue to move from position zero as they arrive there, making the Universe flow like a big fountain, where water that gets to the edge goes back to the center. This way, the U. continues to flow until one fine day when all of the particles in it happen to all hit position zero at the same time, and we repeat our banging that way.

Hey, another question is answered; how can the size of the Universe be infinite? What’s on the other side of that wall? Answer: It doesn’t matter because only the finite size of the fountain within it is ever occupied.

In other words, don’t sweat it!

Student Assignment

A nice assignment for a student of computer systems modeling is to determine which set of parameters are required to create the first 200 potential elements that can exist (persist for at least 2 ticks) in a Universe.

I know, only about the first 100 are stable enough to persist for more than a 2 ticks, but if enough mass is present in the big bang, they could exist and persist longer.

The equations used to make such a determination are based upon a time continuum, and thus not digital.

The assignment is to try factoring in the digital nature of my approach, and use the numbers 1 and 2 to denote a finite time scale.

Next, try to re-evaluate these determinations by working backwards, figuring out how many particles would be required to created these elements. See if this calculated number works out to be a prime number. I bet it does!!!

And while you’re at it, make the simple correlations between what happens in quantum mechanics work by figuring out the right set of parameters and tweaking Octopus_2. Childs play?
