The Showstoppers big band have long been established as Ireland’s number one function band.
Whether its a civic ball, formal wedding, or corporate dinner dance, this ten-piece big band has the glamour, polish, and excitement to create the most memorable of occasions. The bands instrumentation with frontline brass, saxophones, and traditional rhythm section - along with powerful frontline vocals - allows for the creation of every style of popular dance music.

The band can reproduce flawless renditions of every genre of music, from strict-tempo ballroom dance music of the 30’s and 40’s to swing classics dance and traditional old-time waltzes sets. This polished ensemble makes light work of classic rock and roll music from the 50’s and 60’s, Motown Soul, Modern Pop and can cover almost all musical tastes, right up to the most recent chart hits of today.
The Showstoppers can play almost any style of music, which allows them to cater for a wide variety of occasions. Their stage show is a very polished one with a tightly controlled full big band sound. The Band have been invited to play at many private and formal occasions in the past, including - corporate company dinner-dances, family wedding celebrations, the Rose of Tralee Festival Ball, International Lions Club Conventions, World Credit Unions Convention, Cork 800 Ball, Limerick 300 Ball, numerous civic, military, naval and university balls. The hallmark of any successful event is the right mix of formal and informal dancing and atmosphere... and this is what the Showstoppers do best !
