Meet Our Staff! This month we highlight DeYvonne Jones, Branch Manager, Arcadia Main Library, and Lisa Lord, Arcadia Main Library. DeYvonne Jones, Branch Manager Arcadia Main Library

“While Stephen King is my absolute favorite, I am still thrilled by the classic horror genre. Edgar Allen Poe, Bram Stoker, Mary Shelley, Robert Lewis Stevenson, and Oscar Wilde—there are so many to choose from! Even after exhausting the modern horror novelists; there are still the gothics, suspense, and the good

old-fashioned ghost stories to chill and thrill readers!”

Lisa Lord Arcadia Main Library

“I am a book nerd! I even have the t-shirt to prove it! I love all kinds of books and it’s so

difficult to pick my favorites. I love the gothic classics like Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre. Then there’s the modern mystery writers,

Alexander McCall Smith, The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series, arts and crafts books, knitting and sewing, needlepoint,

embroidery, cookbooks, biblical history and scriptural studies. That’s why I love the library, there is always

something for everyone!”
