The successful contractor shall supply all labor, materials, services, insurance, and equipment necessary to complete the work. The contractor shall thoroughly investigate the premises for a complete understanding of the scope of work required for this bid.

Scope of Work:

I. Demo [Building H & J] A. Properly shutdown existing HVAC and Electrical system as required to implement the new equipment.

Reclaim any residual refrigerant and dispose of properly. Disconnect and remove condensers on rooftop with the associated Piping to be disposed of properly. No abandoned equipment or materials shall be left in place. Remove and install new Roof Curb Caps. Area shall be prepared for new equipment.

B. Disconnect and cap off gas lines above the ceiling. Disconnect the electrical and remove Air Handler Unit with the associated Piping and Ductwork to be disposed of properly. Demo necessary cabinetry for clearance of the new equipment. No abandoned equipment or materials shall be left in place. Area shall be prepared for new equipment.

II. Building H A. Install new Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system serving the bookrooms (Room 3 & 4). The system

will consist of Vertical Fan Coil Unit, Condensing Unit, and Fan Coil Enclosure. The VRF system shall be equal to Toshiba Carrier MMD FCU, and Toshiba Carrier MCY CU. Each FCU shall be installed in an Enclosure. The Enclosure shall be equal to Team Air Model TFIE.

Ill. Building J

1. All units are to be installed per installation instructions. 2. Installer shall complete the Carrier Toshiba VRF Installation Checklist to be submitted to

District Project Manager. a. Full Port Refrigeration Ball Valves with Access Ports will be utilized for isolation of

each component during service. 3. Enclosure shall utilize existing Outside Air openings. 4. Condensing unit will be installed on roof level, where indicated by designer.

A. Install new Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system serving the Classrooms (Room 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, 32 & 33). The system will consist of Vertical Fan Coil Unit, Condensing Unit, Flow Selector, Fan Coil Enclosure, and Flow Selector Enclosure. The VRF system shall be equal to Toshiba Carrier MMD FCU, Toshiba Carrier MMY CU, and Toshiba Carrier RBM Flow Selectors. Each FCU shall be installed in an Enclosure. The Enclosure shall be equal to Team Air Model TFIE. Flow selector will be installed on the rooftop, within a Flow selector enclosure, where indicated by designer. The Flow selector shall be equal to Amairco Airflow Solutions.

IV. Controls [Building H & J] A. Each individual indoor system shall be controlled by a Programmable Wired Controller. The controller

shall be equal to Toshiba Carrier RBC. All low voltage wire shall be plenum rated and shielded. 1. Classrooms

a. Programmable Wired Control shall be mounted within Fan Coil Enclosure in an accessible area.

b. Remote sensor shall be mounted on the exterior of the Fan Coil Enclosure in an accessible area.

B. Each individual indoor system shall be working in conjunction with a Passive Infrared Sensor (PIR). The PIR shall be equal to Kele LX-24. All low voltage wire shall be plenum rated and shielded.

Miscellaneous: • Contractor Shall Verify All Voltage & Phase Requirements Prior to Purchase of Equipment • Furnish All Electrical Components Required for Installation • Furnish All Parts/Components Required for Installation • Outside Air Plenum • Pleated Filter • Copper Condensate Piping • Disposal of Old Material Off Site • Prevailing Wage Labor • Dedicated Project Manager • All Work is to Meet or Exceed ANSl/SMACNA and ASHRAE Specifications • All Work is to Meet or Exceed California Code of Regulations, Title 24 • All Work is to Meet or Exceed Manufacturer Specifications and Guidelines • Commissioning of project to be done by Toshiba Carrier Certified Technicians • Awarded contractor will be responsible to repair/restore affected areas caused during the installation

process (i.e. paint, carpet patch, affected cabinetry, VCT floors, and ceilings) • Awarded contractor will have to coordinate with designer.

VII. Hours of Operation • All work to be performed after regular school hours and/or weekends.

o Hours of Operation can be adjusted when the school year ends on May 31, 2019. • All crane work must be scheduled with the District Project Manager prior to ensure that we have all staff off

the site.

VIII. Warranty: • 7 Years on Compressor from Toshiba Carrier • 5 Years on Parts from Toshiba Carrier • 2 Years on Installation/Labor from Installer
