INTRODUCTION

Considerable activity has continued in the development and application of probabilistic techniques for power system reliability evaluation since the four previous bibliographies were published in 1972, 1978, 1984, 1988 and 1994. The Subcommittee on the Reliability, Risk and Probability Applications (RRPA), formerly Applications of Probability Methods (APM), has continued to maintain an updated bibliography and, in view of the interest expressed in this material, has decided to publish a further extension.

The authors gratefully acknowledge the contribution and valuable comments of all members of the RRPA Subcommittee.
