TIME - USAGE AND CHOICES
ECCELESIATES 8:5 - 75 Whoso keepeth the commandment shall
feel no evil thing: and a wise man’sheart discerneth both time and judgment.6 Because to every purpose there is time
and judgment, therefore the miseryof man is great upon him.
7 For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall
be?
TIME AND CHANCE/OPPORTUNITY
Ecclesiastes 9:1111, I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill;
but time and chance happeneth to them all.
Gal 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who
are of the household of faith.
The good Samaritan parable had time and opportunity
The parables of the talents, the virgins and the house build on the rock were about the use of time and opportunity;
Jesus conclusion was about being ready for the unexpected. Let those who have ears to
hear, hear what the Spirit saith. With the measure with which we sow. we shall reap –

HOW DO WE REDEEM OUR TIME
See the hand-out on Time Management (on the notes below) from Marjor ie Kinnee, Guest Writer , New Li fe Apostol ic Church
Essentially create good habits and it becomes your character
1. Jesus Christ was often seen waking up early to pray –Mt 14:23, Mk 1:35, 6:46, Luke 5:16
2. And always working with people though He had his plan for the day or customary things He does – Luke 4:16
He accommodated people into his schedule for each day. He planned the last Supper and his movements and also had time for unplanned encounters like Jarius’s father and Bartimaeus
He said I must be about my father’s business while it’s day
The old saying, "Plan your work, work your plan" is important for getting results and creating good habits in life
HOW DO WE REDEEM OUR TIME
Schedule your time (daily/weekly etc) but work with God, be sensitive & flexible for God given opportunitiesThe Good Samaritan had room for God’s opportunity which the Levite and the Priest didn’t have time for.The 5 wise virgins had extra oil (the fruit of the Spirit) to reach God’s pursuit for them
PLAN YOUR DAY/ YEAR/ FUTURE BUT HAVE ROOM FOR THE
UNEXPECTED OPPORTUNITIES THAT COMES ALONG
SCHEDULING YOUR TIME
Be A Faithful
Steward Of The Time
and Opportunities The Lord
