(1,727 Days)

• December 2012:– Total of 11,126 Periods Absent

(1,589 Days)

**This is down 962 period absences for a total of 137 gained days or 48,100 gained minutes!

• In-School Suspension:– 2011 = 77 Days in ISS– 2012 = 35 Days in ISS (This is down 42 Days of ISS)

• Out-of-School Suspensions:– 2011 = 73 Days in OSS– 2012 = 63 Days in OSS (This is down 10 Days of OSS from last year!)

Absence Policy

Students Under 17: They have ten days they can be absent without being excused. Excuses consist of court dates, doctor’s appointments, or funerals. If students miss ten days and are under 17 years old, they will be taken to Truancy Court. We have five students who were referred this fall.

Students 17 and Over: They are given 16 absences, and they will be dropped with No Credit. Students’ grades are reinstated for the NC status, if they attend every day after the NC is given. Eight Students were given a NC in November, but all attended and were able to recover their grades by December 20th.

Red Zone RtI Help for Students:

• We’ve helped 40 students since September 19th in the library from 2:45 p.m. until 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

• Ten is the least amount we’ve helped on a given day, and 15 is the most

• Students with 3 or more F’s or 5 or more D/F’s on the Ineligibility List or by Parent Request

• Out of those: 99 were on

the list for D’s only and did not fail a class.
