INNOVATION

LEVERAGE INDIA’S DECADE OF INNOVATION MOVEMENT!• Realizing that innovation is the engine of the 21st century the President of India has declared 2010 as the ‘Decade of Innovation’. To take this agenda forward, the Prime Minister has set up a National Innovation Council (NInC) to discuss and analyze an inclusive innovation strategy for the country. !• To further innovation in the decade of 2010-2020, the Office of Adviser to the PM on Public Information Infrastructure and Innovations (PIII) is working on developing a national strategy on innovation to create an indigenous model of development suited to Indian needs and challenges. !• Design Innovation Centres (DICs) are being setup in various design/academic institutions across country.

• DICs at regional levels to drive local initiatives around this design challenge. !• Engage local stakeholders to collaborate and co-create prototype solutions. !

• Validate the prototypes, iterate, improve and implement the solutions.
