A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDERI am pleased to welcome you to the National Growth Exhibition & Conference, my name is Mark Linton and I am the Managing Director.

I am excited about this year being our 10th year anniversary. Over these years both, I and the Busi-ness Growth Show have been helping directors, decision makers and business owners across the country. Since then we have seen many changes in our shows and the businesses that have come through our doors.

To celebrate our 10th year we will be holding the UK’s largest show the National Growth Exhibition & Conference in Birmingham which has always been recognized as our Flagship event. We are planning a lot for 2015 and we are happy you have chosen to be part of it.

The National Growth Exhibition & Conference is a one day event running from 10am until 4pm. Therefore we have a jam-packed day with plenty of attractions, to ensure that your day out of the office is worthwhile. We attract over 1000 businesses to attend our show so this is a perfect oppor-tunity for you to meet new contacts and clients.

Penny is a published author, one of the UK’s most inspiration-al female entrepreneurs and a highly engaging and sought after speaker.

Penny founded Ecademy, the UK’s first social network for business, in 1998 at the age of 33 with her husband Thomas Power. Since then, Penny has successfully grown Ecademy into the global operation it is today. The Ecademy community currently has over 600,000 members. Ecademy is present all over the world with UK, USA, Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim playing a part in contributing to the tremendously diverse business conversations on Ecademy’s Blog page which was launched in 2002.

The journey has demonstrated Penny’s skill in balancing work life with home life, and as such Penny is an inspiration to mumpreneurs who face similar challenges.

Understanding the small business market has resulted in Penny being sought out to advise small business owners, and the Government on issues relating to the challenges that are critical to small business success.

Penny has been married since 1990 and has three children: Hannah born in 1992, Ross in 1994 and TJ in 1997.

Penny is no stranger to the media spotlight and regularly speaks at conferences and events and writes for press across the globe.

Recently Penny has been speaking and commentating on the changing face of society and the affect the Born Digital Gen-eration should have on the business environment if they are given a chance to enter the commercial world and listened to by business leaders. Penny talks about the asset of Social Capital and how we must seek to grow this as well as our hu-man and financial capital.

His first experience of being mentored was when he worked at Goldman Sachs where his mentor set him a financial goal to achieve within 6 months. The goal was achieved by month 4 and by month 6 it was 44% better than expected! Secondly, Jonathan was in the London property market where his mentor helped him build a large portfolio. Jonathan has taken the model of having a set goal to be achieved over a 6 month period and works with his mentees (like all the Rockstar Mentors) to achieve it and show a measurable return on investment. So far he has mentored over 50 mentees within Rockstar and has an incredible track record. Since establish-ing his first Rockstar Company in the group in 2007, Rockstar now has companies in mentoring and property in 3 different parts of the world as well as vested interests in 9 different private companies that he has invested in. Whilst still only in his 30s, Jonathan is a driven and successful entrepreneur who is passionate about working with entrepreneurs who are determined to see their business grow. He achieves the goals with his mentees by making them measurable and achievable, but at the same time, will have an immediate effect on the business.

Jonathan Pfahl is incredibly passionate about mentoring. The Rockstar Mentoring Group was set up by Jonathan in 2007 as he had experienced REAL Mentoring himself on 2 occasions and wanted to create a model for ALL types of businesses to benefit from what he calls REAL Mentoring.

Simon Coulson MBA climbed the corporate ladder with BT PLC for 14 years before quitting the city life. He started a series of internet businesses and has now built five 7-figure online busi-nesses. Simon has generated over £12 million pounds. The first £2 million were from the spare room in his house!

Simon has made his fortune in range of different internet busi-ness models including information products, membership sites, online retail, online training and online transaction services.

Simon has also become an established public speaker on Inter-net Marketing and has spoken around the world to audiences of up to 7,000 including at London o2 arena. After mentoring some friends to start their own successful internet businesses, the first of which has now generated £3.5 million itself, Simon decided to roll out a coaching program to a wider audience and launched the Internet Business School in 2007. This organiza-tion has trained over 1,000′s of entrepreneurs and created many successful online businesses.
